    Inexperience excuse ? Doesn't wash !!!

I see the line of thinking and agree that the side is not 'inexperienced'. However I can't understand the one line comments by some on here saying he is naive or hopeless tactically and the like when none of us have anywhere close to the 'experience' Thorn has in the game. Played at the top...

    We're really a mid-table side

I agree with Thorn to a certain extent. The fact is we have not been 'mauled to death' by anyone we have played yet. This indicates we are just short of a couple of cogs in the wheel and there's plenty of time to go. Whether SISU will get out the cheque book to correct that problem may be...

I am totally astounded, shocked, astonished and amazed

I honestly don't believe we have that bad a squad at this level. Certainly there are worse squads than ours. The main problem seems to be consistence of performance. There have been games where we have performed very well all be it for half a game at times! The signs are there of a good...

    Just got outside

Hang on folks. Look we got a point away from home and that's always a good result even if it's an unfashionable name like Doncaster. It was an early season 6 pointer and they had the upper hand. Tbh we have not been turned over away for a few games so think positive! 3 Home games and lets just...

If we lose tomorrow we are relegated...

Bobby Gould has not made enough out of the game really and turns up where ever he is asked and touts himself around small media outlets etc. Can't blame him but just to be back in football would raise his profile again. I think I'll pass on an opportunist thanx. As for the Donny game today...

    McSheffrey offers to resign

...I thought it was going to be about him offering to resign from playing in the diamond formation and agree to go out wide ;)

TACTICS (2) - Playing Time Out

Actually guys did we not 'bombard' the Leeds defence toward the end of the game and they conceded? That's familiar for a lot of teams but we seem to be on the receiving end more often than not!

    The slating of Andy Thorn

As Otis said elsewhere there are actually very few on here calling for the man's head. What is being discussed is the fact that football is crazy and Thorn has to get things working better, consistently and quickly as the boards patience will run out as it has already and unbelievably run out on...

It's time for thorn to go.

thank goodness for that Otis. Interesting though is it not to see Sven sacked by Leicester and he is having success! makes you realise as I said the board will be very mindful of what takes place in the next few games regardless of what we think and how much support we give Thorn. I know...

It's time for thorn to go.

I'll take a stance on this. Harrison for me may be a problem. Just because he comes with a reputation of merit does not mean he has not become poor at his job? Did McClaren not have a good reputation under Fergie?...says it all really. I watched a pre season friendly at Hinckley where the guy...

It's time for thorn to go.

I feel part responsible for starting this thought process regarding Thorn's tenure from another thread? Why am I not surprised that has encourage a dissatisfied bunch to come on here and call him out and see him sacked? I need to be clear here: I made the point that football can be cruel and...

Next two games will be crucial to....

brinner you really expected us to lose against Burnley after a win v Forest and a very good performance and point at Leeds? Seriously? If I had that much negativity in my bones I'd give up on life! :)

Next two games will be crucial to....

I'm just pointing out how football works. most fans will be calling for Thorns head if we fail to get points in the next two games. I'm not one of them but I do suspect as i have said times before the coaching has a big question mark over it. One consistent thing is that harrison has been there...

Next two games will be crucial to....

....sorry they don't play at the Den any more do they! Come on Thorny get the crazy gang spirit going in that dressing room!

Next two games will be crucial to....

...get some results and play well. The board will be looking for real effort at Doncaster and Milwall not only because they look like 'six pointers' but with out good results the following two home games against the table chasing toppers of Southampton and west ham will suffer in gate receipts...

    Tomorrow

A good win tomorrow is expected. Cody will get a brace and we will let one slip but end in positive territory at 3-1.

    New contracts

They would be wise to listen to Thorny. Clingan though may bide his time to assess what is happening and judge it in the new year. But he must remain injury free to walk this line. Another long term injury could scupper a new contract or any possible move. His risk.
