No, I agree with that. Just expected RCC to be gone and that there must have been interest in him. I still maintain that RCC is a better keeper than Burge. I think we could have coached his impulsiveness out of him.

Yeah. I ONLY read it that way. Why would anyone read it any other way? It's a nonsense.

Video Highlights | Yeovil 2-0 Coventry

If we are to have a successful season it is critical we have a good goalkeeper at the helm. I still hope that's going to be O'Brien and this was just a two off.

Surely the assistant saw it even if the ref didn't.

It was a bit weird bringing in another keeper because RCC was and still is under contract. Burge was out of contract, so we assumed he was going. Burge signed a new contract, so we still had both RCC and Burge. Makes it a bit puzzling as to why we signed O'Brien. Thought maybe RCC was leaving...

There will be several drafts of the script. No certainty at all that the leaked script is the final draft.

Match Thread Coventry City - Shrewsbury Town Match Thread - Tuesday 29th Aug

I should think Shrewsbury will probably rest some players too. After 2 defeats Robins will definitely experiment and change thinges around. The side I mentioned above will surely be competitive won't it? Don't think anyone is saying play all the kids. Players are playing for places, so I do...

    Shit team, no goals!!

And a lot less to just say it out loud.

    Oggy

I think we all agree he has been nervy. That has affected the confidence of the back four and it could be argued that, that in turn therefore cost us points. It is clear that a back four play with more confidence when they have faith in the bloke in the goalkeeping jersey behind them.

    Oggy

Yeah, he made errors, but at least he controlled his area, or least tried to and was very verbal. Burge has always given the back four the jitters and has seemed very much like he hasn't been able to control the penalty area. I sincerely hope Burge does come good, but he has been very error...

Rest some players. Wembley is great, but focus has to be on the league and this will give us a chance to try a few things out. Burge (just because it WILL be) DKE Willis Hyam Camwell Vincenti Stevenson Doyle Jones Andreu Nazon or Biamou or Thomas

That was surely handball for that second goal. Shame they didn't show the disputed penalty incidents.

Rose tinted? :) You do know that Oggy was known as 'Flapper' throughout the M&B Stand don't you? ;) I thought Oggy was a very good keeper, but I would say the rose-tinted notion has been applied just as much to the big man as it was to Glazier. Think Oggy was the better shot stopper, but...

    Oggy

But it matters not if it's Oggy's fault or not. Bottom line is surely that Burge is not the keeper for a promotion chasing team. RCC is too hot-headed. O'Brien came in, commanded his area, looked assured on crosses and constantly organised his back four. It's the two dreadful mistakes in a row...

Match Thread Yeovil Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 26th Aug

He has disappointed me greatly. So many of his shots are wayward and at times he seems most reluctant to shoot at all.

    Oggy

In my opinion Glazier was 10 times the goalie Oggy ever was. Different times though for sure. The difference between Glazier and Oggy for me was that rather than dive and palm away, Glazier would dive and actually catch the ball, so imagine a shot blasted in with the keeper stretching. Most...

    Oggy

Yeah, but thing is on the poll, so many contributors would have never have seen Glazier play, as they would have been too young. Had they seem him play I am very certain the result would have been different.

Crosses were definitely Oggy's Achilles heel. Great shot stopper and very good command of his area, but poor on crosses and bad on distribution.

    Oggy

Well true. I would have definitely said that O'Brien was an improvement on what we had, but these two errors have concerned me. I would think it now logical for Burge to come in on Tuesday. Unless he has a mare I think he will stay in. What I don't get is that he is 24 and we have had him...
