    Government white paper

It would likely be that a recommendation will be issued that each club should look to appoint a fan representative onto their board.

I very much doubt it would be in a formal capacity as clubs wouldn't allow it. It's a ridiculous suggestion and one that would probably do more harm than good.

    Coventry U23 v Cardiff Monday 25th april 1 pm

I very much doubt it. Surely it just gives them a chance to remain match fit?

None of the above clubs would be willing cover his contract in full. The best we can hope for is someone takes him on loan. The issue with that is we're still left with a sizeable chunk of his wage to cover.

Whole squad. Who stays, who goes?

Let's say the club did offer him a contract, which I think is incredibly unlikely, why would Jones accept that when he's gone a full year without even playing a combined total of 90 minutes? He's 24 now and hasn't started a league game in 4 and a half years. He needs to push on at some point.

I'm all for change but there's a few eyebrow raisers in there. Namely the 'integrity test' being one and I'm equally wary about the notion of giving fans an increased say on the day to day running of their club.

    Everton away next season

I'd be astounded if they got anything from Brentford given their form as of late.

    McFadzean extension

No as Pask's contract is up and Drysdale will more than likely be moved on given he's 22 and barely even featuring for Ross County. If we only bring in one CB we'll have zero depth in this position and in turn Robins will be forced to use players who aren't natural to the position as a...

    McFadzean extension

I'm glad you're not in charge of recruitment. Given we're down to 3 CBs come the summer it'll be the thinest area of the squad?

    Cautious robins

The problem is BD which annoys me is Jones needed to play in order to showcase his ability and perhaps more importantly his durability in first team games . Being loaned out would've provided the perfect platform for him to do that and increase his chances of finding a decent club in the...

    Cautious robins

Yeah I found it very strange that he wasn't loaned out. From the outside looking in it just seems as if he's been totally forgotten about.

    Cautious robins

I think that's cruel if anything. He's at an age where he desperately needs to be playing, not treated like some kind of mascot.

His contract extension was a monumental cock up.

I was pretty impressed with the signing to be honest. Probably with exception to James, it was the first example of us actually being able to attract a Championship quality player with previous pedigree. Sadly it just hasn't worked out.

    Cautious robins

I said last summer extending Jones' deal only makes sense if Robins has a plan in place to integrate him back into the first team picture or at the very least will give him actual game time. Sadly, there's been zero strategy in place and another year of Jones' career has been needlessly wasted.

Match Thread WBA (A) - Sat 23rd April

I don't really see the issue with giving Wilson an opportunity, nor do I think it will cause massive upset on Moore's part as he seems like a solid professional. There's nothing to play for now so giving Moore a rest and Wilson a game doesn't really seem out of the ordinary.

    Boddy

It's not sensible at all. Anyone with an iota of sense knows that's an idiotic and concerning comment to make after the season we've just had.

    Joy

Exactly, she only attends games when things are going well, which is disingenuous and a completely pointless exercise.

    Who and Why ?

No club is paying £1m for Rose.

Really don't get why posters think it's so positive that she attends games. In the grand scheme of things it's utterly meaningless and pretty disingenuous.
