Sure there’s some fitness reasons behind a couple of the decisions. If you’re playing one up top surely it’s Vik though ?!

Transfer Rumour Jake Bidwell - Confirmed

Fingers crossed for Bidwell. Experienced at this level and Swansea play decent football so should fit in nicely. As a couple of posters have said, it would be good to finally get a permanent LB/LWB in !

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I’m hoping someone comes out of leftfield as the all of the main contenders are pretty uninspiring at best.

Not sure it was ever needed with Cummings in the background….he’s probably got plenty left in his locker Ps ‘Operation save big dog’…surely not 😂

Batted better than he’s bowled overall. Think he could be a genuine all rounder at home. Not sure he gets in away from home on his current/previous form

I was watching Malan and Root earlier. Commentator said they were looking quite comfortable and fluent….we all knew what would come next…and England didn’t let us down !!!

I see it in a slightly different way. He comes across as pretty uninsirpiring but that isn’t bad if you’re following on from someone like Johnson (could be different if he’s up against a different Tory though). Sometimes luke warm will be enough. Someone like Corbyn for example would not even...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Agreed. That’s what I was saying about political gravity for want of a better phrase. What’s their differentiator ?! Starmers played the quite dull but steady line well (much to the far lefts annoyance, however, it was exactly what was needed after Corbyn and against Johnson - perceived...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Could happen. Best thing for Labour is Johnson hanging on but you’re right, as this is on ‘his watch’ a new leader to come in, say they’ll run a tight ship etc may help. I do feel the ‘political gravity’ (I cringe using that phrase but will 😊) is against the Tories though and likely very little...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Yeah, could be an issue but from memory the numbers in nhs off with Covid were around tens of thousands, say it was 50k with 10k dropping off a day, that’s not too many to provide a streamlined/maybe overnight service for. Definitely doable if the will was there, same as quality PPE that BSB...

50/50 in hospitals isn’t good. Surely they could suggest hospital workers coming out of isolation need pcr after Day 5

In a roundabout way then they must be saying that LFs aren’t accurate enough and/or people can still transmit after testing negative ?!

Agree the absences may cause more issues than Covid (Omicron) to most patients but there’s an option inbetween that hasn’t been explored yet which is reducing self isolation further but you require two negative tests before release.

Crazy. I’m all for cutting isolation but only on back of negative testing. What are they thinking ?! Hope you’re dad improves Dave

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

To be fair, this is very different (in my eyes anyway) to junior ministers/civil servants who’ve been working together all day staying for after work drinks last Xmas. This was during first lockdown when you weren’t even allowed to meet with more than one person outside, let alone have someone...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Such high numbers in the population have omicron theres a reasonable chance that anyone dying at the moment would’ve had it in the past 28 days. We need to see the primary cause data. The base/standard hospitalisation and death figures aren’t very useful indicators at the moment due to Omicrons...
