It will be interesting to see Hunt play (it's always exciting seeing new players, especially those with a good pedigree) my only concern is his fitness. Am I right in thinking he has been without a club since summer? Similar situation with Ramage, but not so concerning as he's had longer with...

Front four of: Lameiras Cole Maddison Armstrong Promises lots of creativity and fluidity but probably a lack of width and certainly pace. It will be interesting to see how TM plays it, it's certainly hard to get Cole and Maddison in the same team without playing one out of position.

    booing

That's the issue with fair weather fans. Not to generalise, but based on those near me over the last few games, the routine tends to be: arrive, talk about what a massive fan you are, get names wrong, critisize everyone based on 10 minutes observation, get increasingly frustrated, leave...

Also, what does Rubén have to do to get a game? Surely his creativity and link play should be used more than it currently is. Even if that's 20/30 minutes at the end of a game.

I actually thought Haynes and Phillips had better games than usual, I'm not doubting they can perform at a level, but that level is not strong enough to start in a team chasing automatic promotion. For someone known for his attacking intent, Haynes was incredibly tentative today, I can't...

They look average so far, the few passing spells they have had show they have another gear. We need to keep pressing - they look uncomfortable when we do. I would like to see both JM and RL at around 60 minutes. Their movement and vision will cause issues against their nervous back line.

Stone wall foul on the edge of the box, not given. That's four by their number 7 with no reprimand.

Based on selection, it looks as though TM plans to use the wings, which you cannot do with both Cole and Maddison. Fantastic option to have on the bench, in addition to RL. Little worried about Haynes, but in TM we trust (and there's no other options....).

Why the hell did I agree to do dry January knowing these two games were this month.

This has the same big match feel (for L1 at least) as the Gillingham game. The same result would be perfect.

    Stephen Hunt Signs

Good signing, even if it is completely out of the blue. Theres absolutely no harm in signing experience, especially with the amount of youngsters in our squad/starting XI. Re Journeymen - you could class Ricketts as one, and look at the positive impact he has yet. While Cole hasn't set the...

Interesting to see who starts where within the front four. I can see those four being very fluid, with lots of interchange, especially Cole and JM. Defensive cover is short, but Bigi/JOB/RV can all play RB, RV CB and Fleck LB if required. The most worrying of those options is RV at CB.

3-0, Martin, Armstrong x2. I have to leave at about 70 minutes, so I'm hoping it is a foregone conclusion by then.

Thanks all. If it has been sung at home games previously I've been totally oblivious! I look forward to hearing it tomorrow, just before we score three before half time and the top of the league chants start, even louder than before....

    Quality Celtic song

Since Saturday two songs/chants have been constantly playing in my head: We're top of the league (obviously) and Bob Marley - Every little thing. With the exception of the Northampton season, I've been a season ticket holder for the last 20 years, but I cannot recall hearing the Marley song...
