Time to man up and take the blame Thorn

Good debate lads! We must put all the politics and emotions to one side and see the reality here... The manager and coaching staff are failing us badly with a set of players we all know can do better than where we find ourselves. As has been said before - we have not been thrashed by anyone...

Time to man up and take the blame Thorn

AT is complicit in the demise of the club this season - no doubt about that. He should have been doing better than we have so far with the tools he has. Lets not forget however Harrison. In my mind probably as culpable as AT. he's the one constant factor in all 3 of the last management failures...

Selling the club ? But what is it's value

Regarding Hoffman and co there are other more attractive clubs he and his cronies could go after. What he wants i suspect is a deal on the Ricoh ownership. Not the ACL share option but a real deal on ownership or the very least lease rights. That's the only thing that is making CCFC an...

    The board's view of Thorn

I doubt they have faith in Thorn's ability to keep us up. They should be in panic mode yet we are continuing on course for league one without a get out of jail card. Can they afford to get some one with greater experience in? Yes I would say so but they are not. Clear to me they fully expect to...

Selling the club ? But what is it's value

There is the franchise, the goodwill, licences etc and of course the stadium option. Players, capital equipment and various leases on properties I would expect and the freehold of Ryton. There's probably more still but the value stands probably no more than half of what SISU claim to have invested.

What would help the club in the short term....in or out of the cup?

There is financial reasons for being in the next draw but I think they are far outweighed by the need for our thin squad to remain fit and ready for the league battle ahead. I hope we exit the cup tomorrow. I'd use the game to try a new system or two and give the inexperienced younger lads a...

    Crainie

I have to say that Cranie is an average player who puts in solid performances from time to time but has always made shocking mistakes and at times lacks quality where needed. I witnessed this a couple a season's ago at Blackpool and have seen it emerge on many occasions since. Not sure why some...

Will Thorn be manager next season?

Whatever happens to CCFC this season either relegated or not the chances of Thorn staying as manager are very slim. The only scenario I see for him to stay at the helm would be SISU still in charge and Thorn keeps us up. That would give him tenure for the first couple of months of the new...

At Wants Freddy to get fit!

don't think it's a question of try or not but more a case of potions which should have been the stance before...not sending him to the wilderness. Thorn has to eat his words. Naive comes to mind.

The remaining fixtures - can we stay up?

Oh I'm optimistic here as anyone but what is required is a turn around that will represent a season of two completely contrasting halves! Quite whether we can all of a sudden produce top six chasing 'form' in the second half is the 64 million dollar question. Conventional wisdom says that will...

The remaining fixtures - can we stay up?

The theory is that current form of clubs and /or their position in the league now and where they will probably progress over the remaining season is a key element. For example the Boro' are and will be chasing promotion, whereas Palace will likely fade and Pompey be much of a muchness. That much...

Saturday demo is a protest NOT a boycott

...by definition are you not boycotting the game for 15 minutes if you are refusing to be inside at the kick off?

What will you do on Saturday?

I'll be working but have the radio on. As for protest - don't believe in it. Pointless hyperbole by a fringe contingent. Not helpful to the club at all at this stage.

    southampton match line up?

If there is a bid imminent for the club then FA Cup money from any hope of a run in the competition is pointless at this juncture so common sense says field the reserves and get out and concentrate on the league. If he fields a bunch of second string then that would indicate a bid may be in the...

    New Bid

...I suppose we could take the logical view that this time there are to be no cock ups, SISU are actually listening and takeover talk is not played out in the media but an actual serious bid going on behind closed doors as should be? Any bid of course will have to involve the stadium rights...

do you all really think its just SISU to blame

Wozey it's old ground and clearly you lack knowledge and facts on the matter. SBT has dissected this subject enough for it to get boring.
