    Thank you Jordan Shipley

Agreed. Fans have short memories. Shipley was often highly commended by opposition managers in League One when we were there. I'm surprised a higher placed side wasn't interested to be honest. It's a great aquistition by Shrewsbury nonetheless.

    Championship 21/22

Losing Brereton, Van Hecke and Rothwell will certainly be a big blow. What's probably not being highlighted is that Mowbray has a lot of links in the game, shown by the fact that he's been able to get some fantastic players on loan for them over the past two years. Given they seem to not be...

    Transfer Shouts

Really solid CB at this level but we can't really afford to have a player with his injury record and salary expectations on our books.

    Transfer Shouts

It's not really all that much of a surprise given yesterday's articles in the press. His agent is quite clearly trying to drum up interest and get the best deal for him - which is of course his job. But I think that probably suggests his next club probably won't be us.

    The Jones Enigma

    League Two most likely.

To be fair it's not just released players or departing loans that are detailed, as you'll sometimes see clubs state on their retained lists which players they've transfer listed as well.

    The Jones Enigma

You've claimed a player who has barely played has been handled brilliantly by the club but the reason for him not playing is because he's too risky to play, despite Robins openly stating otherwise at the beginning of the season. Yes, it's my argument that's nonsense.

    The Jones Enigma

Which is a fair comment. But the notion that this season has been beneficial to his career and that the club has handled him brilliantly during this period is frankly nonsensical.

    The Jones Enigma

Not really. Bright was seemingly brought in ahead of him at the beginning of the summer and at one point he played LWB didn't he?

    The Jones Enigma

If Robins was that concerned about risking him in a game. Why extend his contract for another year last summer? Equally why come out and say he'll play a part this season? Jay Spearing has PL experience doesn't mean he should still be featuring for Liverpool?

    The Jones Enigma

Both Allen and even Shipley were head of him in the pecking order for that role.

    The Jones Enigma

I'm not really that bothered. I just find the notion that you believe Jones was handled well this season slightly bizarre as it's just not true.

    The Jones Enigma

Clarke-Harris definitely. Robins didn't play at all to his strengths and tried to fashion him into something that he wasn't. That was pretty much shown immediately after he left us.

    The Jones Enigma

Well it's not how it looked at all. Robins said last summer his knees are as good as they were previously and the surgeries have been very successful. He also said around December time that he sees Jones playing a part in the remainder of the season. He wasn't played because he wasn't deemed...

    The Jones Enigma

We were paying the majority of the rest of the bomb squad's wages whilst they were out on loan what makes Jones any different? Equally he's likely one of the smallest earners in the first team.

    The Jones Enigma

I couldn't disagree more on this. I'd wager there was a promise of game time this season upon him signing an extension last summer and that hasn't really at all materialised. If he wasn't in Robins' plans come January, he should've been sent out on loan to give him what he's been sorely...

    The Jones Enigma

Even if he did have an extension I doubt we would've triggered it anyway as what club in their right mind would pay a fee, regardless of how nominal, for a player who hasn't started a league game in well over four years and has since suffered three ACL injuries? I wouldn't be all that surprised...

    Retained list

They plan in advance, usually from the window before and will create a shortlist of names for every position. The level of planning seems pretty proactive.

    Next year Season tickets

Definitely. Especially when you consider that they could potentially face a points deduction next season for P&S breaches and Nigel Pearson has openly stated it's unlikely they'll be spending a great deal in the summer.

    Retained list

Even if they do move on, it's likely we're going to be lumped with a significant proportion of their wages as a result of them being out on loan. Or if their contract's are mutually terminated the club will have to agree a compensation package which will similarly come at a cost. No doubt wages...
