Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I remember when I was looking at a Machine Learning PhD because I wanted to work at Apple or Amazon on voice assistants or on self driving cars and all the ads wanted a PhD. I was looking at sub £30k at best. It’s pathetic. Especially in an industry where six figures isn’t unusual. Still want a...

I imagine Mick Lynch couldn’t give a shiny shite what the Sun thinks. And he leads a union, £84k is nothing.

Also to add, I had a specialist referral end of last year that gave me Sept 23 as the earliest appointment then got a call in April this year saying they could move it up.

What argument have I invented for you? You don’t think fission is safe despite the evidence and you’re bringing it up in a discussion on fusion.

That’s not how taxes work. Just like you can’t claim pension spending back cos you’re not a pensioner or education spending cos you’ve got no kids. Don’t think insurance will cover pre existing conditions (which I assume you’ve got if you’re already at this stage), you’d probably have to pay...

Are you still on about fission? It’s safe. I’ve shown you the data. Why are you bringing this up again? Don’t tell me you’re against fusion too!

Global funding, private and government, was about $4.8bns this year, and that’s more than double what it was last year. As a species we spend absolute peanuts on it, have a look at that graph I posted, and those figures are for just the US. While there’ll be some crossover it won’t be equivalent...

Everything I’ve seen says closer to 30, but who knows? My only worry is does it stop people taking action on clean energy production now.

Looks like it’s still 20-30 years away from commercialisation reading that but still great news. Aside from anything else it’s progress that has been hard to come by and should increase fusion funding which has been pretty pitiful up to now.
