    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

Yes I do agree that the actions of SISU are ridiculous, at no point have I ever defended their decision to move the club. But I'm sorry I don't subscribe to the anti-SISU love in on here. There are thousands of comments and threads about what SISU have fucked up. However in this whole debacle...

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

How do you define unfit? If you use the measure of the law then it would suggest they are acting illegally? Just look at Leeds to see how difficult that could be, and i'm sure if they had acted illegally by now it would have been reported and they would be charged accordingly. Deplorable...

'We'd be better off owning the Ricoh but sisu can't be trusted'?

Agreed - I think SISU have to sacrifice the idea of a freehold and accept a leasehold, the council have to hand over the revenues. How much of the revenues will obviously drive the price. It has to be such that the club can sustain itself without the current and future owners subsidising it.

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

Hypothetically - Yes. Do the council have the right to try and force out someone because they don't like them? No

'We'd be better off owning the Ricoh but sisu can't be trusted'?

FWIW I have never said that SISU should get anything on the cheap. They should pay the going rate. No doubt if the parties did their own valuations they would be light years apart. I would like to see an independent party do a valuation if this was possible.

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

I don't really think the council are in any position to be the moral compass? They have plenty of their own issues that need to be addressed outside of this particular area

'We'd be better off owning the Ricoh but sisu can't be trusted'?

If SISU and ACL could do a deal on the basis of the JR being dropped then that could be a win win for everyone. The council are not going to give an uncumbered freehold. SISU will not be tenants in the same way they were before. They could have a long term lease with full control of ACL and all...

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

This has only happened since CCFC left.

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

So you are saying every single football stadium, cinema, bowling alley and place for children to 'not be on the streets' is a community asset? Could the young people of Coventry play their football final at the Ricoh? Could the local grass roots mens competitions do the same? That's what I...

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

EVERYONE could have done more. Especially SISU. All parties are culpable.

So between 2003 and 2012 there wasn't a single opportunity to sell the share back?

At what point did I lay the blame exclusively with the charity? Pretty sure I said all parties responsible...

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

OK, so in terms of the buyout of CCFC's share of ACL, could more have been done to get that back in the hands of CCFC, even before SISU arrived? The club would have had a big revenue spike in that first year, could that transaction have happened there? When SISU did buy the club... it's...

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

That wasn't an endorsement of your point... I'm almost giddy in excitement waiting for you to tell me exactly how Higgs has financially supported CCFC on numerous occasions, other than the 2 points we have discussed here.

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

So it's a commercial asset for the City of Coventry, that's not a community benefit.

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

Sixfields is a community asset for Northampton. It is used by local schools, by the local FA as part of their grass-roots initiatives. There is clear evidence that the community use the amenity. How much of that goes on at the Ricoh?

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

You're right, it is only theoretical. But any business whether SISU or someone else will look at the scenario and think what's the best way to get investment back. If they've put in that much already, they're already committed financially so the best chance of return is a successful football team.

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

What about the 4 year period before SISU even arrived? Was there nothing that could have been done then?

    Marilyn Knatchbull Hugessen answers questions

It does not benefit the community of Coventry one iota. That's like saying the people of the UK benefited from the Government buying out Lloyds TSB and RBS.
