Pre Season Gallery / Greg Moorhouse on Trial

From the Belfast Telegraph - sourced from Sky Blues Talk! "He made 39 appearances for Glenavon last season, scoring 15 goals in the process and contributing nine assists. Those included a hat-trick against Ballymena United on January 3 and that record seems to have been enough to persuade the...

Don't agree. It's been one of the most entertaining threads here for a while. Not quite up to GMK standards - well, not yet ....

    Jim Blyth's comments on Oggy...

The valid comparison for Burge and RCC is Reg Matthews. Made 111 appearances for City from 1950 to 1956 and is one of only five post-war players to be capped while playing for a Third Division club. I think he was still only 22 when he left to play for Chelsea. George Curtis made his debut as...

Match Thread Millwall v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 10th Sep

According to BBC City have had 61% possession and four shots (three on target) compared with Millwall's 39% possession and three shots (none on target). On that basis, we may be worse than Millwall today, but we've been way the better team in all the other games we've played this season.

    Just catching up

On GMK I was Bantsvet. I always thought Hackney was a very decent sort. Unlike lesser varieties of Foxes, he seldom gloated. Now he doesn't need to. Just by coming on SBT, he ensures we feel humiliated still further. Just by being here. He doesn't need to say anything. But in fairness, my...

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

Did Chris Anderson fail to turn up for a meeting that he had agreed to attend? If he hadn't agreed to attend in the first place, why make anything of the fact that he didn't attend? And even if he had said he would attend - and is there actually any proof he did say he would? - he would still...

Could a change of manager save our season?

Fleetwood's manager seems a bit of gem - he's won his last two games against top of the table sides and only lost 3 times in his last 15 league games. Why do we never get a manager like that?

Disappointing, but still in our hands

That's right. But so is Samo right in saying that if two out of the three teams above us get the maximum points they can out of their remaining games, automatic promotion isn't in our hands. And after the first three games of the season, when we were top of the table, you might equally well...

We could win all of our games. Both Walsall and Burton couldn't. Simple!

    Joe Cole

Based on your figures, that's 1.63 points per game with Cole; 1.89 points without. Equivalent over the course of a season to 75 points (play-offs) instead of 87 points (possible top two). On the other hand, since Cole joined us in October, we've only lost one game - and that was the travesty...
