I could be hopeless too for £100,000. ;)

Was thinking more 'bribe' to be honest.

I might put £10 on for the opposition every time Everton play this goalkeeper.

Don't want to mention the 'b' word, but maybe someone should have a look at the Everton goalkeeper's bank account in the morning.

    New Kits Next Season

Well, yeah, that's okay, but this would be much better. Just make the beard a tad narrower and more pointy and there's our home shirt right there!

The pros and cons of Mowbray

Just how we think he has done as a manager for us. What plus points from him as our manager this season.

Thing is with kids, sometimes you don't know until you throw them in.

Anything except stripes. I really hate stripes.

The pros and cons of Mowbray

It was pretty clear that the emergency loan of Ramage was indeed because it was actually an emergency and he was probably all that was available. Don't think we can apportion any blame to TM on that one. He was between a rock and a hard place. Bring him in and get slated, or bring in no-one and...

The pros and cons of Mowbray

Yes, tend to agree. We have had that same problem with a number of managers. I wonder if Sambou may have stayed had we played him, or at least gave him a run out from the bench.

The pros and cons of Mowbray

Never wanted his head and you know it, you cheeky monkey! As I have said over eleventy billion times, I like the bloke and always just wanted him to put right what was going wrong. :)

    Nii Lamptey Show

Yep, me too. I thought he looked comfortable on the ball and that his distribution was good. He did get caught out of position though and he wasn't endowed with pace either. Very true about the lack of tackling, but I'm sure we have seen much worse at the club, even just in the past 5 years.

    Nii Lamptey Show

He could. You could have as many loans as you wanted, but only five could appear in any match day squad. Something to do with wages too perhaps? I thought though that once Norwich signed him and loaned him back it would have been them paying for him to play here.

The pros and cons of Mowbray

Right, got you. Yeah, the Phillips one was a bit odd. Not quite sure what went on behind the scenes, but he seemed to almost disappear from the club at one point. I do get the JOB one more. I liked him a lot, but one of the main criticisms of him was always that he lacked disclipine in...

The pros and cons of Mowbray

The standing by Ricketts no matter how bad he was, was also a big concern for me. The bloke should have been dropped many games ago.

The pros and cons of Mowbray

I think some permanent signings appear rushed. It was also abundantly clear that we had far too many players right at the end of their careers (Henderson, Ramage, Hunt, Ricketts, Fortune). The balance wasn't right. I personally didn't have too much of a problem with his tinkering. I think I...

The pros and cons of Mowbray

Was going to do that, but then thought you might have thought it to be a thread on Hillfields. The thinking was, Stu, that I knew the cons would be brought up and obviously there would be talk on putting right what he got wrong.

The pros and cons of Mowbray

Yep, agree with a lot of that. Did worry me greatly when he came in with his saying he knew nothing about League One. Hopefully now with one season under his belt he will be a lot better equipped for the campaign ahead.
