Ah, Simon says! Can I play too?

    Butts park arena?

Tell you what though, a sunken pitch would mean that you wouldn't need a season ticket or match day ticket anymore, you'd just need to be in one of those surrounding buildings.

Not sure. To the hotel you mean?

Yeah, I'm not talking about equalling that height, but any stand we build will be much taller than this for sure and therefore would block out some of the light of some of the storey-s of the buildings behind. Agree with you about the traffic. It does need a good sort out anyway.

One question mark too few there, Glen I think.

    Butts park arena?

I really don't want to piss in anyone's chips, but if you look at that picture there is no way on this earth anyone would be allowed to build a much bigger stand there that would block out the light of the buildings behind. This therefore just reinforces the suggestion of a sunken pitch, but we...

Fishing stories are always exaggerated. 'I caught a fish this big!' when in reality it is usually just a stickleback.

    Butts park arena?

Ah, let's all get ridiculous, eh!! ;) No-one is talking about about 90,000 seater stadiums, or indeed an 80,000, or 70,0000, or 60, or 50, or even 40. We just want to be able to compete with the likes of Stoke and West Brom and Norwich and Southampton etc. 15,000 is fine in the very short...

If it had the potential to expand to 30,000 that would be totally perfect! Do think there may well be massive opposition from local residents though and also traffic problems trying to get anywhere close on match days (or indeed past the place)

Stoke, Norwich, West Brom all have plans to expand. Swansea's stadium has the ability to expand to 40,000.

We have been crap and not successful. Being successful will make one hell of a difference. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk

So if it doesn't really matter why are all the big clubs expanding their stadiums? (Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal,Man City, Spurs, West Ham etc.) Surely they should just stay as they are.

But it's not one or two games if you are successful. It's only one or two games a season for us because we've either been crap, or have buggered it up. Us winning, at the top, bigger crowds for more games. We go to the Championship and start competing for the top 6 there we will get several...

Well yeah, but then also 'if' and 'hypothetically' 25,000. :)

Think the last time I went to a pub the City were still in the top flight and had just won the cup.

My daughter's best friend's dad is an ardent Cov fan and he was saying they were indeed expected to be right up there challenging for promotion, so the season was a big disappointment.

Are the pies going to be smaller there too?

    Butts park arena?

Would people agree it would have to be expandable to 25,000 to be anything like a goer? 15,000 in the Championship would leave us one of the poorer boys in terms of comparable success for revenue. 25,000 would be fine for the Championship, but wouldn't be good enough for us to make any real...

    Butts park arena?

Yep. Went in the West End and the Kop and the sound just didn't reverberate around the stadium well at all. There were also restricted views in the West Stand and M&B Stand too.
