    The Walsh Talk

I’d imagine Walsh will come in next season to replace Hamer who will be on his way to Real Madrid for 35 million after being a key cog in our promotion to the premier league. SISU replacing our key players with freebies

Haskell / ACL / Trust / CCFC Administration

I’d imagine club players and coaches are in a different bubble to staff officials The sponsors etc are likely to be welcomed in their own bubbles

    Will you please build?

We’d have won by a bigger margin. We would have been fitter

Match Thread Sky Blues v Boro (double header)?

IIRC I don’t think he had a problem with us, think it was more Wycombe and Rotherham

    Incoming - Tyler Walker

Could play a diamond - Marosi, Giles, Hyam, Ostigard, Dabo, Hamer, Shipley, Allen, O’Hare, Walker, Godden

    Are we yet better ?

I always felt McCallum wasn’t great defensively, that’s why he worked in the Wing back system. It played to his strengths better and he was covered by Rose well. Allowed him to play his natural attacking game

He was right though, everyone made out that Jones has already proven him wrong. He’ll only be proven wrong when Jones is consistently performing in the championship.

Nobody wants him to fail. The guy who posted on twitter doesn’t want him to fail. The question is whether we think he will succeed. Ultimately he has 1 year on his contract. The likelyhood is he won’t be here next season. If he doesn’t get over his injury for consistent performances, we’ll...

My quote was “ The best comparison is Reiss Allasani. Had all the talent at palace, one big injury later he’s dropped to Dulwich Hamlet. ” That suggests that I was saying that one big injury could in fact be the one thing that stops you making it. He did have all talent, top prospect etc...

Because it’s better than U23 football for competitiveness. The analogy I used was a bit extreme, but it’s not laughable to compare Jones to Allasani. RA was a top prospect and expected to do great things - but for a massive injury. jones was a lower league diamond and has a similar injury. It...

Appearances at lower league doesn’t equate to better than top prospect at a premier league club and England set up. At 18 Jones had made more league appearances than Bellingham has - doesn’t mean he’s better

I revert back to that, because that was the last time he played at a higher level than league 2. He was only 18/19 but due to the injuries, his development will have stunted at that point. As I’ve Previously said, I really hope he kicks on. In League two he was class. But the reality is...

Prior to injury Allasani was Palace’s hottest prospect, whilst in the premier league I really hope Jones comes back strong. I really do. But it’s a long way from being a consistent league 2 player to championship player.

He was patchy at best in League One prior to relegation. He has question marks over whether he can step up? Since then he’s had 2 ACL injuries, and upon first return he didn’t look that confident. The best comparison is Reiss Allasani. Had all the talent at palace, one big injury later he’s...

Don’t get me wrong. I’d love nothing more to see Jones as good as he was in league 2. I’m glad he’s back, he’ll be an asset if he takes to the league.

He’s had a nightmare 2 years, but ultimately, he’s only performed consistently half a season in league 2. It’s going to be difficult for him to jump and perform at this level. I personally don’t think he’ll be here next season - but I don’t think he’ll be non league. Someone in a lower league...

I mean isn’t this whole thing a bit premature. Scoring a goal in a friendly isn’t exactly proving him wrong. I mean ultimately Jodi has to prove he can do it in the league.

Not at all. In the last championship season we lost our Star keeper, top scorer and top creator and replaced them with Chris Dunn and Joe Murphy by this time. We’re far further than we were then
