I understand what you are saying Nick, but we had a dreadful slump to our season and yet still only finished 5 points outside the play-off places.
If we were to go up then with that can come great momentum. Talking of reality is great, but it is not in fact unrealistic to believe we could be in...
Well that's a very fair point about how long it will take to build.
If we are building a 15,000 seater stadium and it takes 3 years to complete and by then we are pushing near the top of the Championship, then the project is all going to look rather silly.
I too think the 25,000 is not...
Really? Sounds like very short term and blinkered thinking that. So you would be prepared for tens and tens of millions to be shelled out on something that may not be fit for purpose in 10 years?
We need to be looking at securing our long term future, not panicking into jumping into something...
Does seem to be stuff of fantasy. It could expand to 25,000, but CRC don't want that and you can only surmise that if it was 25,000 there would be no room for any add-ons.
Aslo you have to factor in the cost invloved with a sunken pitch. That will surely add millions to the project.
My main...
Nope.
As I have said many times the past two days, I am happy to go to the Butts in a 15,000 seater stadium as long as there is scope to greatly expand upon that.
Just think people are getting a little too carried away here and the hatred of Wasps has blotted out much of the rational thinking...
Well no car park incomes, little in terms of indoor event incomes, weddings, venue hire, conferences, conventions, exhibitions etc. Going to be so little space and before we have even started the talk is of 'squeezing' a stadium in.
I can't answer the question until I know if the ground is expandable and to what degree.
Absolutely no point moving to a new stadium if we then find out it cannot be developed further down the line (i.e. the area and transport system and roads might be able to cope with 15,000 fans in the...
Would be perfect. Exactly my thinking too, that we could make the Butts temporary and leave Cov Rugby with a lovely stadium while we get our filthy mitts back on the Ricoh.
We can dream anyway can't we.
