I thought the last series of the wire was poor. I also put Boardwalk Empire up there with the Wire and the Sopranos but that was also let down by the last series. The Sopranos finished really strongly for me. Phil Leatardo losing his shit was a brilliant storyline.

And up until this point our trajectory on the return to the Championship has been similar to theirs, but the noises coming out of the club do not inspire me to think we will kick on in our third season back in the way they have.

All 3 of them are on the bench because they're available and nothing else. Reid clearly has no future, Howley looks like he has but at this stage is 5here to make up the numbers, as is Dinanga who I have no idea asto his future at the club. It was a really weak bench.

Our bench the other night contained Reid, Howley and Dinanga. Thats not a recipe for progress. People can cite injuries but we've not got that many. But even a couple really hurt us.

It's a politicians answer, a soundbite with no grounding in reality.

No we're not the only ones who sell, but most haven't gt a squad as thread bare as ours with players on the bench whose only chance of playing is a spate of catastrophic injuries.

Same old, same old on all fronts next season. Why are they hanging around?
