Is Mason still injured? Really hoping he comes good, but Brown looks weak, especially on the ball. As I said before, attack and we’ll win.

I say the same thing every time I comment on the match thread; if MR allows us to play football and attack we will do well. We have a lot of good footballers, plus pace across the team, which combined can cause issues. I’d go; Burge Sterling Willis Davies Brown (where’s Mason?) Thomas Kelly...

Bakayoko and Hiwula. They both offer pace and technical ability, and it’s an untested partnership. We’d have to play the ball on the floor though and look for passes/through balls, as opposed to lumping it forward. I’ve never been a JCH fan, I fail to see what he offers other than an arrogance...

I would keep the same team as Tuesday. Peterborough did cause us a few issues at the back, but Toney is one of the better strikers in this league. On the whole Hyam and Willis have looked reassured this season. If Davies was fully fit then I would put him ahead of Hyam, as he misses very little...

I still stand by this. He’ll come good, but it hadnt cost £500k, and it hadn’t have been such a drama to sign him, he’d be dropped by now.

I agree with the point re Bayliss getting tired. It’s massively evident when he doesn’t play/is tired/off form, as we suddenly lose all attacking drive through the middle. He’s been poor today by his standards, but hes still a threat and helps us avoid playing a back six.

Awful is definitely an exaggeration, as is good. It’s been mixed, we’ve created chances but our end product has been poor. We haven’t looked too troubled thus far.

To be fair to Hiwula he isn’t a winger, he has Brown behind him who has no idea how to play, and Doyle inside him. When he gets the ball his options are limited. Granted, his touch and shooting haven’t been great today.

When we pass it around and drag them out of position we look really good (same every game). We need the final ball to work though. Absolutely not getting negative about it and writing him off, but as it stands I really don’t see the benefit of Chaplin. His movement is ok, but it’s in the wrong...

Genuinely though Bayliss’ performance levels are not where they should be, based on what we know he can do. He does look disinterested, but his body language always does. I’ll say again, does Brown know what to do when he gets the ball?

Just to clarify: Bayliss is awful thus far.

We are so deep already. Chaplin is receiving the ball deep in our half. When our defenders have it, the gap between the midfield and strikers is really evident. Bayliss looks off the pace.

Does Brown know what to do when he gets the ball? Doyle’s winding up Toney. He might be shit at football, but he’s good at the other stuff and we miss it when he doesn’t play. Granted, not an ideal situation, but we need him for now.
