Reads as though he’s a replacement for Andreu, let’s hope he adds the MUCH needed creativity form midfield we have been severely lacking all season. If the other signing is a winger, it still leaves us short in that position, but would still class it as decent business. Unless of course...

I hate to say it, but Willis has has his trousers pulled down by numerous strikers this season. He should be head and shoulders above everyone on this league and he’s really not. I like him and ideally wouldn’t want to lose him, but we have good enough cover at CB and he’ll command a decent fee.

Exciting to read this, let’s hope they don’t keep us waiting for too long to reveal who are they are. As Nick said it would also imply he knows who is going, so credit where it is due, they have obviously been working hard behind the scenes. Even if one of those leaving is one of our better...

Yep and we always look better for it. However he only does it as a last resort when we are losing as opposed to proactively enforcing the change from the start and/or during a game when it is clear the existing tactics are not working.

Losing Andreu was obviously a massive blow as I assume (based on our tactics) he was central to MR’s plans, however he’s had time to adapt and hasn’t. Some examples of his refusal to change, both as a whole and in games: We have a lack of wingers (which also raises a question re recruitment)...

The theme throughout this thread (which has now been suppprted with analysis) is our distance lack of creativity. Most of us have been saying it since September (or earlier), but MR still refuses to address it. It’s pleasing we’ve been so poor this season, yet are still in the play offs...

Heading home from Manchester today, currently sat on the train watching the grounds outside become snowier and snowier. Childish I know, but I’m excited. First stop once home - nice walk through the snow to a country pub with an open fire and an ale. Off work tomorrow too, so I can really enjoy!

Finding it really difficult to be positive re MR at the minute. He always says the right things, but never seems to do anything about it. For example the comment about us being too deep - whys that a surprise? Course we are, that’s how you’ve set the team up to play in every game this season.
