Mrs Browns boys ranked best comedy of the 21st century

No, because they only made albums and never a sitcom, though Ghost Town, with a main character named Rudi might have been a novel concept.

    Stadium deal ends in 2018.

I still say there is the land on the corner of Old Church Road. There was a car rental/hire place there, but that quickly closed down. Looks more than big enough for a stadium I would say. I know it was developed, but as I say, there's now nowt there. Has anyone approached the council about...

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

Is it a In Sickness and In Health, or is it a Til Death Us Do Part?

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

He looks so old now. I just don't seriously see how that is going to work at all. Is was all about two loves last time. The whole concept of these remakes makes me a tad worried it has to be said. Just show the originals.

    Things that annoy you

I hate exaggeration, but in saying that I do really love using the phrase eleventy billion.

Mrs Browns boys ranked best comedy of the 21st century

I don't personally see the Office as a sitcom, but if it is, it should be at least eleventy billion places higher than Mrs. Brown's Boys.

Mrs Browns boys ranked best comedy of the 21st century

21st century? So, only 16 years to select from, but still, there must be something else surely. I do not find Mrs. Brown's Boys funny at all. Every joke is incredibly telegraphed and then thickly layered and milked to ensure you get the joke. I just find it very old hat (swearing apart).

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

Oh dear, oh dear. Now seen the full trailer, which has clips of Goodnight Sweetheart, Porridge, Young Hyacinth and Are You Being Served. It was very painful. Even the Porridge one looks particularly poor, as the joke they have used is the exact same joke from an episode from the show of 40...

Rose out injured for 'weeks, if not months'

Exactly my thinking too. I don't think he went with Smith partly because he believed we had enough cover for the position. This obviously changes things.

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

Just seen a trailer for Are You Being Served. Dear me .... hope this isn't a sign of the whole show to come. :( It was a character talking about what he had just eaten and played out something along the lines of Character One: ' I've just ate such and such and such and such and then finished...

    Andre Gray

Yeah, he does seem the type to chase pirates when he's not watching the Great British Bake Off.

    Betting odds...

I'm still banking on play-offs!! A couple of wins and it all changes.

I can't believe Abu Hamza said anything against gay people though, he just doesn't seem the type.

I saw the title and thought the thread was going to be about some kind of swap job. How disappointing. :(

    Olympics

I have only just realised that the Turkish judge in the Joyce fight gave every single round to the Frenchman! That's just plain crazy! I can understand one round, because he did defend very well and threw a few good jabs, but in that last round he hardly threw a punch at all and was just...

    Council helps football club

It's a ludicrous and ridiculous notion and quite frankly, laughable. The council's problem is quite clearly with Sisu. We all know that in turn hits the club, but to suggest the council would be happy to see the football club fold is farcical in the extreme. That's Grendel for you though. It's...

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

Well that would be entirely and utterly wrong of course, because that would be franchising wouldn't it.

    MP asks for CCFC intervention

Well I would say that if we don't want Wasps here, the City moving out and to some 30 miles away will surely play right into Wasps' hands won't it? (Especially if they do want to destroy us). We need the competition between the two clubs and we need to be and remain the number one sporting team...
