Good point, one thing I will say is that his age and injury will count against him with his wage demands. Probably why were enquiring about him. if he’s only out until September he maybe worth the risk given its a key position we need to fill

By all accounts we matched them for collins so wage structure might not be as far off. we may be willing to offer the length he wants aswell, at 30 if the years are offered he may be willing to come down on wage considering his injury

No, it’s an odd one. I assume he’ll miss the start of the season - but if it’s say a month. We could probably get by with Reid whilst he gets up to speed and given the glowing report on him it may be worth the risk. anymore than that, it may be one that just isn’t for us as a club at this time

According to his Twitter he’s in Rehab atm. Maybe it wasn’t as bad as Jones’ injuries

Yes. Sorry didn’t do that one, but yeah. On average Ostigard lost the ball 5 times more per 90 I like Ostigard and think he’s going to be a top player, but McFadzean got so much unwarranted criticism last season. My mate was the worst for it I was shocked that McFadzean won more Aerial duels...

Ostigard actually played 1 more game the McFadzean

Statistically Hyam is up there with Ostigard

This, if you look at James, Sheaf and Kelly - they all have weaknesses but are complemented by each other. That’s to be expected at a club our level

I agree. I regularly criticised Ostigard. Mainly for his finishing which was harsh. The guy wins every header. He got better as the season wore on. for me he always had a moment of madness in him

If you consider him a similar player to Hamer aswell, the stats are good for sheaf there too

65% - I know Stats can be picked and chosen but I felt those are the stats that I would look for when looking at this particular position. As I said, happy to change stats for people. Sheaf is a good player, but he’s never recovered from the rumours that he didn’t want to come etc

In terms of statistics I would argue that Sheaf and Matty James had similar stats. I’ve picked some stats I believe are key for their position more than happy to change stats if people want to see that

We’d have got to 30k quicker at the Ricoh. But we’d have been around 15k by Sunderland 9k a game better off like. but those last 5 games regardless of ground would have increased sharply

I’m more talking when it became evident we were going to win the league. We’d have packed any stadium in the last home game when we’d have lifted the trophy.

Fair point. We were up to 13 for the Rotherham game. We only hit top after the Sunderland game. I’m convinced that the fickleness nature of our fanbase would have seen a sharp increase towards the end of the season. That’s all speculation. We knew it would hit us financially hard. Ultimately...

Whilst not arguing the losses, isn’t it worth pointing out that we lost 5 home games on 2019? That’s significant in itself - and I’m convinced that on the roll we were on we’d have hit 20k by the end of the season. ultimately they do seem to show that promotion and the Wilson sale stopped us...
