I genuinely don’t remember them being that impressive at the Ricoh. At the very least they didn’t complain dominate and we held our own. As I say I don’t recall it fully, but if they were that good I would. As long as MR allows us to continue attacking, we won’t lose on Sunday.

Did he? He scored against Wycombe but he didn’t dispossess their defender, run into the box with pace and score through a crowd of players. JCH is an awful footballer. Even you must admit Hiwula played well today. Also, it really is too easy.

Great finish and play from Hiwula for the goal. Shame he’s shit hey....if only we still had JCH.

We can definitely score again (and again, and again...). They’ve shown little desire to score and I doubt that’ll change.

Not much to report so far: Ref seems clueless Bayliss/Hiwula/Bakayoko not involved enough Pitch is shocking Some good patient play at times trying to create space, which unfortunately idiots around me don’t understand and would prefer to ‘get it forward’. Really high line from one of their...

I also hate the fact when you do buy a soft drink (at an extortionate price) they take the top off and keep it. Am I missing something? What can you do with a plastic bottle top?

I really hope Hiwula has a good game today, he has so many doubters but in my view he’s a good footballer.

    Burge

I know it’s a dick comment, but; called it.

    New Keeper

Fantastic signing, as has been said it’s a shame it’s only 7 days. Can emergency loans be extended?

    Rochdale Press Conference

Any specifics? To be fair our squad is big enough to cope with a few being out. Genuine wingers is the obvious exception, but even so we have players who could play their if needed.

I think I was watching a different game to some; Burge - 6.5 - not to blame for the goal, took a few corners well in the second half. Wayward kicking is definitely creeping back in. Sterling - 7 - constantly an outlet in the first half, but rarely used. Offered a thread going forward and was...

Yes I mentioned similar on a previous thread. I think he’s seen as being some way off the first team, but if he’s scoring regularly it might be worth a few substitute appearances.

Genuinely don’t get that one? Surely my expectations are “great” in the context of the discussion, as I don’t think we’re going to get relegated?

I agree the form is awful, but we aren’t playing awfully, so there’s hope we’ll turn a corner. The year with Mowbray/Slade it was obvious we were going one way, our squad was weak and our style of play was a million miles from winning us games. Whereas, this season we have a strong squad and we...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Gillingham Match Thread - Saturday 2nd Feb

The ending was obviously incredibly frustrating, but I’m really not sure how that equates to relegation fodder or a team destined for the drop. We aren’t getting outplayed, we aren’t getting battered, we aren’t even getting dominated every week, we let ourselves down with missed chances and...

    Burge

It was absolutely Willis’ fault, Burge had no choice. I think the incident at the end was injury related, potentially concussion (?), as the doctor/physio came back out to help Oggy with Burge. If it is concussion and he’s out for a few games, that leaves Addai as the only keeper. Emergency...

But we don’t have a focal point type attacker, and if the striker is going to be that isolated we need someone like Eaves. And even so, the gap between their lines is nowhere near as big as ours.

I don’t think it is at all. Who’s supposed to be playing 10? Second half we’ve shaped up differently.

Different striker, same result. Different formation, same issue. Hiwula is too isolated, the gap between him and the midfield is massive, as if the gap between the centre backs and the rest of the team. The full backs (especially Sterling) are pushing on, but not being used enough. There’s...
