Match Thread Fleetwood v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Sep

I know it's early in the season, but poor runs dent confidence and make sides nervy. We need to halt this asap. Unbelievable to think where we were in the league this time last season. :( Concerning and this in turn will hit attendances.

Are we deliberately saving them up for the cups you think?

Don't worry, it will all come good as soon as September is upon us.

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

Hmm, yeah, but I think Speight deliberately made him a Tory and then the show was pitched for and at the working classes. Think that created a lot of hatred towards the character and our house was all Labour, so definitely a figure to be reviled and not be rooting for. Everything about the...

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

Maybe it was just me and my family then. I quite liked it, but my mum and dad who watched it all through the 60's and 70's absolutely loved it. Get the point on Simon Day. I thought it was a good portrayal but it did lack the heart and guts of Alf and it did seem to be by numbers at times...

Me too. I had to check it twice. Would say from his looks he was about 68-69.

That as absolutely brilliant! Loved the second one so much and laughed all the way through! Don's hat and bows in reverence. You're a top man Mr. G. :)

    Cov fan bingo

Thing is, just how many honest owners are there out there these days with any club? Don't remember us doing Not One Geoffrey More when Robinson and Richardson were here. If it wasn't to be Wasps it would just as likely be some other unethical group or dodgy individual. Club before owner every...

Cov Rugby begin their league season tomorrow !

Yeah, a dream of mine too. Would love Wasps to be secondary to Cov.

    Morning all

Right. Happens with so many people. You end up doing things out of necessity rather than being able to follow your heart. Seems you need space at a time where you are very much off on a new venture together. Guessing it is all signed, sealed, delivered and you are now entrenched for the time...

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

It's hit and miss for me. Can be funny at times, but then also rather lame and dull. Thought the episode worked quite well though last night. Doesn't Nicholas Lyndhurst look distinctly odd these days, mind. His face looks like it has been ironed and I am sure his mouth is shrinking by the...

Yup, or one slip of the tongue and I could end up with sticky toffee or a chocolate brownie.

Anyone else dreading the BBC classic remakes?

Yeah, I liked it. First few mins in I though it was going to be naff, but the script kept me interested and I thought Simon Day did a very good job. He did lack the anger of Warren Michell, who you used to see stewing in his own juices. The let down for me was the missus, who I thought wasn't...

Just watched the Til Death Us Do Part. A little dated (it is a 69's original script), but I really enjoyed it and Simon Day did a very good job of portraying Alf. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk

Yes, talk to her. Be entirely wrong I think to go into a new venture together as a couple if you would rather just be single. Are you worried that if you have the talk now you will end up being single a lot sooner than you imagined? Or is she understanding and happy to talk things through.
