Highest finish since being relegated, all after not having a home game til Oct and half the fans having us relegated in Nov. That’s an achievement Ps we were in league 2 five seasons ago

Agree. There’s no long term strategy/vision. Hoping Sunak or starmer (or Davey 😊) comes up with something soon !

Who knows who’ll be unearthed. Carlton Morris at Luton isn’t at Vik levels but what a season. Cost £2m I think

Feel ok at the moment. Saturday I was genuinely excited rather than nervous, might be a bit different later though…shit or bust (not literally busy obviously)

Sure you’re taking the piss but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. All depends on what fees we get and if/how we spend the proceeds

My point is that if you have an influx of cheap Labour willing to accept lower wages and poorer conditions, where’s the incentive for the employer to invest more in machinery, equipment and/or people. When there was the hauliers shortage last year all I heard on the radio was driver after...

Just a very shit negotiated deal and an anti business investment culture which sees no significant government support in key future technologies and industries like gigafactories Basically nobody seems to have a plan or vision as to what the U.K. will be or wants to be in future

I don’t blame people at all, they can work where they want but you suggested Brits don’t want to work in things like picking and hospitality. My point is if they are able to and we can structure pay and benefits right maybe they should. By importing large amounts cheap labour we seem to have...

So basically we’re as productive as we can be ?! Come on. I’ll ignore the comment about Bravermann (who as I’ve said before I’ve got no time for and shouldn’t be anywhere near government) and teaching people to pick fruit and veg comments. Of course there are opportunities to train/retrain...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The point is there are opportunities to automate in those sectors to improve productivity and/or focus on training/retraining people, but this hasn’t happened as much as it could due to the availability of cheap labour, either legal or shadow labour market. It’s been a lazy approach. I agree...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

There’s been a real lack in investment in machinery etc a lot due to lack of certainty in the U.K. (I accept partially due to Brexit and the shitshow/uncertainty since). But there’s also been a historical reliance on cheap labour. I understand Tonys point about certain Brexiteers wanting to...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The money laundering etc is very different to some kind of global tax agreement whereby companies pay where revenue is generated. Trying to get countries such as Ireland with 12.5% Corp tax agreeing to it is going to be a challenge
