I also hope today isn’t all about SISU OUT and the crowd actually get behind the team.

Still really looking forward to today. The team will be full of confidence and surely motivated to make play offs. Today is the day all the good football combines with clinical finishing; 3-0, Hiwula, Bakayoko and Bayliss.

    Protest ?

Forget the fact Duggins is a Wasps stooge and that today may turn into a SISU Out campaign as opposed to targeting ALL sides, but could they not have picked a better place for the photo than between a dirty telephone box and pub tables?!

    Breaking- New Consortium Bid

Nothing but a PR piece intended to stoke up fans and turn the lense from CCC/Wasps back to SISU. Cannot wait for the hostile and distracting atmosphere on Saturday, when the focus should be on another massive game for us. Absolute naivety if people think negativity from the stands doesn’t...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Oxford United Match Thread - Saturday 23rd Mar

Based on one of the posts a above it sounds as though Thomas will be fine, which is great news. Despite losing a bit of form lately his importance shouldn’t be underestimated. If not, I’d be tempted by Wakefield as he’s the more like for like, but I’d go with Shipley. He’s been good recently...

If you think Hiwula is rubbish then you are clueless

I agree. I’ve always been a fan and I recall having a few debates with others (the usual negative crowd on here) about it. He was guilty of missing a few sitters early on, and still does now (albeit to a lesser extent), but his ability was always obvious. It was the same with McNulty the year...

Strong team, lots of good footballers and no passengers. 2-0, City. Bright and Hiwula.

I agree and Kelly will do a lot better job than Meyler too, who unfortunately (and not surprisingly) looked completely off the pace last night. While he had a few decent touches his lack of mobility and inability to cover the space left is more vulnerable than needed. Can’t fault his leadership...

    Morgan Williams

Really good debut, especially against two established strikers. He wasn’t afraid to get stuck in, positioning was solid and he looked comfortable enough on the ball. Its certainly exciting for next season (and the following few) if even some of the other youngsters we brought in over the summer...

Meyler lack of mobility is causing issues. He can’t cover the space well or quick enough. He’s a real passenger, it’s clear he’s not fit. Worried we’re gettign deeper and deeper with no outlets. Wakefield needs to offer more.

We’ve moved to 4-4-2 and look so much better. Some nice intricate football so far. Need a goal though. It’s also exposing Meyler apparent lack of movement. Hiwula looks on it this half. Not that you’ll tell from this thread, he’ll have his haters regardless.

Need to see more from Thomas. He’s too narrow. I’d like to see more from Bakayoko too, although he is isolated. Williams looks good considering his inexperience. A lot of their threat is down our left, Mason isn’t the strongest positionally, and there isn’t much shielding from the midfield two...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Fleetwood Town Match Thread - Tuesday 12th Mar

He’s looked off the pace since day one and unfortunately that hasn’t changed. He’s not had game time, so it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. He’s doing enough of a job though bearing in mind the lack of alternatives. I like Westbrooke and hes good on the ball, but Shipley as the anchor in...

Blamange? Do you mean Blancmange? Nearly. Bakayoko isn’t a target man, JCH was supposed to be exactly that. JCH looked strong, but never actually used it.

Yes, that was exactly what my post said. Come on, you’re better than that. Anyway, enjoy that Hiwula goal? If only we still had JCH.

Ref is shocking. No idea how anyone can suggest otherwise.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Fleetwood Town Match Thread - Tuesday 12th Mar

Good 10 minutes spell followed by a shakey 10 minutes. They look very vulnerable at the back and are doing well stopping us playing. We’ve gone into ourselves again, we seem to do well and then forget ourselves and go defensive. Not sure our tactics thus far, we look too disjointed...

They’ve set up to not allow us to play out from the back and are forcing us to go long.

Formation looks more of a 4-1-2-3 / 4-3-3. Crowd singing about supporting the team, not the negative stuff, which is a positive. Thats justice for the non penalty at Luton.
