    Train strike 30th July

Think the argument is better paid jobs for the average working man regardless of nationality. And we're not in the EU anymore. Time for Brexit to start delivering some of the benefits it promised, of which one was higher wages.

    Train strike 30th July

Should train drivers take a pay cut when executives don't? Can people on 19k afford the basics given the re ent rises in fuel and energy? As for small businesses, I feel sorry for anyone who went bust. But lots of small businesses going bust isn't really a reason to deny workers in other...

    Train strike 30th July

Can you think of any examples where executives and shareholders were denied remuneration to the point they were struggling to buy the basics?

    Train strike 30th July

I never said there were, but clearly there are companies (and government departments), who seem to be able to make profits, pay dividends and find money when it suits but plead poverty when it comes to giving the workers a rise. People shouldn't put up with this shit any more.

Yes, they are, though like everyone else, if they don't get a pay rise in line with inflation then essentially their wages decrease. Many other railway staff aren't on above average wage though. The train drivers haven't been on strike yet though, the other rail workers have. Are you happy that...

    Train strike 30th July

You've started off criticising working people and have now moved to mid level managers earning well above the national average, it's not comparing like for like.

    Train strike 30th July

I can't say for sure, but I'd say if someone is receiving an anual rise in line with inflation and their salary allows them to maintain their standard of living then maybe there's an argument that pushing for more is greedy. But what's going on at the moment is a million miles away from that...

    Train strike 30th July

And some people are fucked and the current rises in fuel, energy and inflation have pushed them over the edge. I don't blame anyone for saying enough is enough

    Train strike 30th July

Flip that on its head, how many years do you go with your pay reducing in real terms before you say enough is enough? MPshave been rewarding themselves handsomely all through austerity but God forbid the working manwants an increase.

    Train strike 30th July

Because they have year on year inflation busting pay increases where as most working people have effectively had pay cuts. Absolutely incredible you have to ask to be honest.

    Train strike 30th July

My mates daughter and son in law, both teachers are working abroad, they get treated brilliantly. Both returning to the UK next year and neither will go back into teaching here, they get treated like shit. We're going to end up with a real crisis if we don't start treating people better, not...

    Train strike 30th July

The strikers who have had 'results' so far this year have still taken below inflation increases. Executive pay and dividends are still being paid handsomely so the money's there, its just finding its way to a small clique of people, it's time that changed. People who go to work every day...

    Train strike 30th July

Weren't we told that better wages would be one of the benefits of Brexit? People have a right to demand it happens.

Nah, she's that dangerous combination of a cocksure idiot and a rampant opportunist, I don't care which school she went to. The way Labrov made her look an absolute clown should have finished her, but not in today's Tory party.
