Ashley doesn’t strike me as a patient man. His record of managers at Newcastle says similar. So I don’t really see him waiting until the lease runs down to make his move. Particularly as if it was up to him he’d already be back in football ownership with Derby.

There was talk of it definitely. My assumption was he just used it as an excuse to do due diligence on the arena but maybe not. Makes it even more mad if he intends to keep a debt on the place and not own the football club though.

Any opportunity to crowbar that in.
