Well why indeed because it begs the question of what the actual limit is. Pete has said the club say it’s not an issue cos low ticket sales. So I really want to see what happens when they don’t have that excuse.
I think Robins and Hill are in a different category because of the impact they had/are having on the club as a whole. Purely in terms of on the pitch possibly Sillett, but is there more to management than that?
Couple of things in Robins favour for me: the chasm to the Championship and certainly to the Prem is much bigger than in Hills day. Also I’d argue he’s changed the culture massively. The funk around the club before he came was incomparable in my lifetime as was the distance between club and...
Cant shake the feeling this isn’t our year and well either just miss out on the last day or lose the semi (if we go to Wembley we win IMO). We’ve always been a season behind Luton and I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost the semi then finish 3rd/4th next season and go up.
Nothing worth spilling, just grumbles that line up with what Pete is saying. I think King has ruffled a few feathers. If it works out we’ll all say it was the right move to shake things up. If not he’s an idiot who should have listened to the experience at the club. Such is leadership.
Firstly: stop posting about football in off topic!
Seriously though I’ve heard similar things, it’ll all come down to if he progresses the club. If he does anything he does is justified, if not it’s not. That’s football really.
Always loved watching him play, he just has this great energy and vision, but he’s impacting games this season more than ever. First proper “favourite player” since I was a kid. Will be gutted when he goes.
