21st Century or 1984......one for the teachers

What's not to like? A low cost option which produces a load of geek loners with just the required skills to be consumers and producers of stuff the machine says we need. This is already being discussed in education conferences and the version I have heard is seriously under consideration is a...

    Has anyone changed their mind?

No Starting season so early now I miss all August games as on holiday. Moving games to Friday night before Christmas (I don't fancy the 40 mile each way thanks) More games will be midweek than I care to travel to. Saturday afternoon pay on the gate for me or match package.

    Squad as it stands

Fair points but we need 6-8 decent forwards. 3-4 start each match, 2-3 on the bench, one injured or suspended. It's a squad game now but I trust that MR knows all this.

    Squad as it stands

The squad still lacks goals IMO. OK the new guys might excel like others have in the past. Equally there are no nailed on prolific goalscorers. To challenge you need one or two players who feature in the league's top scorers list. Do we have two of those currently?

    Three girls

Really sorry to hear of your experiences on this, Otis. Good of you to share this as others need to know. Thankfully my kids are grown up and missed all of this. Parents need to hear these stories as the majority have no idea. They worry about their kids when they're out the house and give them...

    Three girls

Incidentally, the kids in my form are only 11 and many admit that their parents have no idea what they see, who they contact and what they are being exposed to.

    Three girls

With social media platforms grooming is now so easy. All it takes is a lethal combination of cunning, patience and the gullibility of innocents. Thankfully, schools are now overtly teaching children about the methods used and how to stay safe but they are only kids and are no match for a devious...

I realise that but it still needs to be said. We are the Sky blues and we are not copying them. The reverse is the case.

How many more times? We had all sky blue long before Manchester City did and for most of their time they have had white shorts with pale blue shirts. They were never called the Sky Blues like we have been for over 50 years now.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Brexit: How long will it be before, "Let's just call the whole thing off," will no longer be shouted down but will become mainstream? I give it six months. Whatever your viewpoint should we stick to a democratic referendum result forever, whatever the consequences, out of some terribly British...

    Things That Bore You ?

Talent shows. Most of you are not very talented and your journey is a bore fest. Made a bit of sense when they were in your local club in the days before TV and internet but if I want to hear good music, dance, comedy etc why would I waste time watching Wayne from Wigan, Chelsea from Chigwell...

    General Election

I held my nose and voted Labour. The first time I have ever struggled. I give Corbyn credit for running a fine campaign and energising young people but I see him as a transitional figure who has brought Labour's mojo back. A new leader will have to emerge in due course to unite all sections of...
