My ma-in-law used to be a home help, and occasionally, she would turn up at an old persons house to clean etc, let herself in with the key under the mat, and find the old un had pegged it during the night. She would call the law, then clean the place like crazy. She wouldn't have wanted anyone...

The first episode was OK, but every one since has been very good, up to the usual TG standard of the past imho. I particularly enjoyed last nights "race" as I've been on that train.... what a journey. :)

I have a guy who comes and does the hard graft in my garden every so often, he charges £12/hr. I got quoted £14/hr about 5 years ago by 2 other gardener types, so I think £12 is pretty good.

My old man died when I was in my teens, so my advice? Relish every chance you have on days like tomorrow to see them both, let your old fella know how much you care about him. I wish I could have had lots more years than I did to do those things.

Been to Leamington peace festival today. Nice event, bands on, various stalls, food etc..lots of kids enjoying themselves. Balloon maker etc (sure I saw PWKH in the queue....) It's on again tomorrow from 11 ish I think.

my son has an Insignia hatchback , and gets over 60mpg regularly. No idea what the lease costs would be, but it's a big car, with a big boot, and has all the bells and whistles. He does 35 to 40K miles per year, and it's been solid as a rock for him.

Did it? What I meant though, was what could stop him saying exactly what he thinks once he had left the CT? I would expect a principled journo to report whatever he wants. What stopped him doing that ? He's usually got plenty to say.
