Our form a consequence of playing at Northampton?

I'm not happy being at sixfields one bit. I do think many fans and club alike have found it difficult to let go of past 'highs' and the big club demeanour. It's long since been over and perhaps sixfields has brought us down to realisation at the level we are competing in. Once that is realised...

Our form a consequence of playing at Northampton?

This is not an argument for or against. We ALL want to be back at the Ricoh. It's just a point worth thinking about. I personally feel the pressure has been less at sixfields and the same mentality has been taken away from home as a whole, due to a variety of circumstances the club are in. Got...

Our form a consequence of playing at Northampton?

Yes but the logic is that at sixfields and at away grounds we are in front of fewer supporters and at lesser grounds than can be said for the Ricoh and we are doing quite well? I think the Ricoh creates a feeling of superiority in this league and teams are under more pressure to perform perhaps?

Our form a consequence of playing at Northampton?

Could this have some weight? Lets be honest at the Ricoh, would we have been facing opposition looking around pre kick off and saying "wow super nice pitch and stadium, I can't wait to play on this" and be raising their game against one of the big boys of league 1? Would our often fickle and...

    1 year ago today

Point taken but it's a moot point. Attendances at the Ricoh were fickle at best. And t was not our stadium, we merely rented a pitch and a few offices and a shop.

    A silly idea

Oh if it was all so easy? Who pays match day cost, prepares the pitch, turns the lights on etc for what a couple hundred fanatics? I admire the idea but is a non starter I'm afraid. I would suggest if it was organised well ahead and you sold a few thousand tickets for it, then they might open...

    Brazil

I would dump ALL the old guard for this World Cup from the squad this time and concentrate with the new players. Gone would be the Lampard's and Gerrard's and in come Baines, LLana, Rodriguez, Oxlade-C, Sterling, and co throughout the team. Play them they will be hungry and naïve enough to play...

    Leeds United - Elland Road

Lets not forget the outlay for the Ricoh was some 113m so this imaginary figure everyone is talking about around 15m or so is way off base. I think we are perhaps getting confused with the stadium and the rest of the arena? Do we actually know if SISU want the stadium complex or do they want...

    The next 10 games

Agree with the OP. This is the business end of the season. Rember Tranmere who fell away around the same time? Sent from my ST25i using Tapatalk 2

    Leeds United - Elland Road

Would you pay as much for a car that was way older than the one you had and needed a lot of updating? Sorry but the Ricoh is worth substantially more than ellamd road. There is also a 40 year lease to the landlords who have 20m imvested already. The apples are not like for like. Sent from my...

    Tony Hateley:

Sad news. A classic centre forward who headed the ball like a rocket. The only other player I ever saw do that was Neil Martin and of course his son! RIP

    Game off.

According to records it was the wettest January in 100 years only in some areas. Yet another misleading media quote gets everyone on their high horse no doubt...

    Game off.

I'm pleased it's off. The players brought in get time to settle and practice on the training field. Not a good time for playing Walsall right now. Physiologically Clarke will be well rid by Tuesday and new training ground tactics in place with the new faces ready to get stuck in.

    Delfouneso signs on loan!

This is a terrific signing! he has premier league qualities and in the league we are in and the way we play the guy should do at least what Clarke had been doing. He might score for fun in our team. Great stuff from Pressley yet again. Not sure about the ex Barnet winger though? Where does he...

    £750k for Leon Clarke

Good price for a player in league 1 going to another league 1 side.

Clarke fee funds CCFC at Northampton for at least 3 more seasons

There is no correlation between Clarkes sale and 3 more years financed at sixfields.

    An Unhappy Pressley ?

talk about running with an opinion! Seems we all hear or read something but we all come to a different conclusion? For me when Pressley states we need help he was referring to the team requiring some help by bringing in one or two players and particularly replacements for our lost strike...

    We're a complacent lot....

Yes it would so the conundrum is whether they are right or wrong? I still think they were wrong to take the team to sixfields. What would they be giving ACL if they were playing rent free temporarily anyhow? Support for the Compass groups refreshment stands? A few car park spaces. I believe...

Passion or pressure from Pressley ?

Lets be fair he has said he has the owners support to go ahead and bring players in, the problem is identifying them and getting them to agree. We are a bigger 'sell' these days to any player and wages could be an issue but when he says 'help' he means we need help for the team to continue their...

    We're a complacent lot....

The last league game I attended was at Sixfields against Orient. It was a Tuesday night and I was over that way on business so I went to see what the fuss was about. Have not and probably will not attend a game again unless it's a playoff game where the reason would to naturally support the lads...
