    He hasn’t looked even close to how I’d imagine a £4 million plus signing who was player of the season last year ?! He’s hardly had a prolonged run in the side but when he’s played he has been a big disappointment. I expected him to be quicker and have more of a range of skills.

    I do think our recruitment strategy has caused this, we look like a second hand car lot……Loads of individuals pinging around trying to look shiny and buyable but very few playing as a team at all. We have been cobbled together from a bunch of show ponies !
