The 5 greatest inventions/discoveries of all time!

I love using the microwave for some things, cooking mushrooms and onions in particular. Taste bloody lovely done in the microwave. Besides that it is just warming stuff up and defrosting only.

Do you have a nickname for your missus that she is unaware of?

Oh, opposite of us then, cos my daughter calls the other half 'Destroyer of Fun.' Chief of the Fun Police would be great. Much better than anti-fun surely?

Lee Mack - Funniest thing on British TV at the moment

Agree? Anyone on here that doesn't find him funny? I haven't met anyone yet who has said so. He's certainly got a touch of Eric Morecambe about him and I think he makes Would I lie to You the best comedy programme on TV these days.

You call your wife Unripe Mango's?

Do you have a nickname for your missus that she is unaware of?

Why wouldn't she know about that though? That's quite sweet. If it was Big Fat Lump I could understand it more.

    Saddest comedy sketch/scene

Yep, ditto on that. I just couldn't embrace the character at all because to me it came across as a caricature. Maybe I should give it another try, because I do really like a lot of his work, but with this I just couldn't get past one whole episode and I hated his portrayal and manifestation...

    Paralympics

I found with the Beeb that at least it was instant. Switch channels and there would be the same thing you were just watching and all pretty much seamless apart from the punching of the code in on your remote. If the same thing happened with the Beeb as with Channel 4 I must have missed it.

    Saddest comedy sketch/scene

I would say one of the many moments from the Office where David Brent is left pitiful, alone and humiliated.

Mogga - "This years team as good as last years"

Tis odd. Last season we clearly should have made the playoffs. We were 11 points clear of the team in 7th at one point. Now TM is saying this squad is as good as last season's, but at the same time he is saying we will have to punch above our weight this time out. To my mind last season we...

    Things that annoy you

But they are saying over 30% of people admit doing it, so you can only surmise that some posters on here are definitely doing so.

    Things that annoy you

Yep, I did it just once too. It was in about 2003 I think and I was working at Siskin Drive industrial estate. Very important phone call came through from our client in Portugal as I was driving, and I had to take it. I was just on the industrial estate road though and picked up the phone and...

Yep and you will get retailers into the mix and they will have ads like 'Get this special offer sofa before it's scone!'* *Obviously doesn't work if for scone you say scone instead of scone.

    Paralympics

Bloody hate commercial TV at times. Just watching the wheelchair rugby live on Channel 4, GB v Canada and with the scores tied and with just 40 seconds remaining, the TV host pipes in and says 'Sorry, but there we have to leave it!' WTF!! 'Don't worry though' she adds, 'You can pick up the...

    Things that annoy you

Totally agree. It angers me. If you have to brake quickly there is no way you can control the vehicle as well just one handed.

    Things that annoy you

As per the topic of the day today about people using their mobile phones while driving, it's entirely that! Really makes me annoyed. When I am out walking the dog I see so many people on their phones whilst driving. I have a Bluetooth device in my car. Cost about £11 and it is on my sun...

    Celtic's gradual demise.

Been a very clear demise to my mind. They used to be the second best team in the whole of Glasgow. Now look at them!
