If we play anything like the last 4 matches I fear the worst, I really do, especially at the back. I agree with a previous poster, we need to drop Wright and start Rudoni on the bench. Quite recently both have been more effective sorting out their hair styles than on the pitch.
I’d be delighted...
We look completely toothless….the culprits….the flu/ Covid/ injuries , Ipswich, good team, punished us and damaged confidence, our strikers are pretty damn shite and this obsession with playing everything through Rudoni who takes too many touches and then loses the ball. He’s screaming for the...
Got lambasted here the other day for trying to suggest we don’t need other big clubs kids on the wings to mount/ maintain a realistic title challenge…….
We need a striker badly because Haji looks completely lost and Simms blows hot and cold !
Fine , Fully aware of that, But I did pose the question of how many actual headed goals our current strikers have scored.
I think my point really is that I’d like to see another striker come in who we can feed through the middle like we did with Vik .
Take the piss fine, I’m cool with that and happy to be enriched with the stats but I’m sure some bright spark can tell us all how many crosses we have put into the box and how many headed goals our strikers have achieved so far !?
I guess what happens with Frank may well depend on the backing he gets in this transfer window. A few decent signings should shake some of the regulars into upping their games again too.
If it’s zilch then he might think there’s not much of a future.
Or crossing to strikers who rarely make the right runs to take advantage of them.
The amount of times everyone lumbers towards the back stick and no one gambles on the all too often poorer cross towards the front post.
Frank needs to look at himself in the equation too. He’s been fantastic thus far but now needs to adjust and find solutions as to why we now look bang average. Persevering with our ‘ Big’ players seems to be backfiring.
Torp and BTA make quite a difference though.
We need to look at the catalysts for this recent demise.
Firstly the loss of BTA
Secondly , The desperation to shoehorn Wright into the team
Thirdly, The desperation to shoehorn Rudoni back in.
Fourthly , The damn flu virus / thin squad
Finally, The fact that teams have had half a season now to...
Theres a lot of sense in what you say of course. Lots of people have become valuable citizens but then you read articles that suggest 50% of Londons social housing stock is occupied by foreign born people and many of them are also very reliant on a burgeoning welfare state. How the hell did that...
Whether these people get granted asylum or not is almost irrelevant.
How many have been refused and deported? Hideously low amounts. Most disappear sooner or later into established communities. Somehow or another they get NI numbers and are soon able to access work or benefits and everything...
Forgetting the bloody dinghy’s for a moment, there have been millions arriving over the last 25 years and longer !? The UK has done its bit and way more.
Its not about the individuals or shouldn’t be, its about the overall impact.
