    New manager - no announcment?

They probably just told him he won't have a pot to piss in and unless he keeps us up he will be fired in May for an unknown who has shown promise in the Scottish leagues.

    New manager - no announcment?

As always with CCFC. We were told new manager in place for Tuesday and expect an announcement on Monday. Clearly not happened yet. How frustrating. Has Mowbray been told something different at the last minute? D

Don't Blame Pressley For Off-Tune Sky Blues

Too many draws is what got SP fired. He needed to convert those into wins. Just don't think it was his time to be here. Mowbray's experience and standing should make all the difference.

    It's down to 2 candidates

I said yesterday it sounded like a decision was already made bar the shouting. We brought in a new striker who you would think had to be a recommendation of the new guy and now they say it will be confirmed on Monday. For me that favours Rossler but yes it could be Mowbray. Either will do but...

MK Dons (H) - Match Thread

I'm not there but sounds like by the skin of our teeth? Much like last w/end we were throwing it away. We need a new manager and fast!

Coventry City rumoured to be in for Brentford striker Nick Proschwitz

The thing here is, last season when SP made such an impact from a deficit of - 10 where we're all the courters for his services?

Coventry City rumoured to be in for Brentford striker Nick Proschwitz

It would be rather silly to be bringing in new players when you are about to appoint a new manager. Firstly any decent new manager will want control of this area and not be dictated to days before agreeing a contract. It makes me believe the new man is already picked and looking in the stands...

    New manager choice

I agree with you stupot and Rosler I'd take ahead of Mowbray. Others should not be so disparaging about us. We are still a big city club and if you are successful you can raise your own profile rapidly. That's why over 80 applicants are on the list.

    New manager choice

Why anyone would believe Uwe Rossler or Nigel Adkins will sit tight and wait for a job is beyond me. There are plenty of managers left on the scrap heap because they don't get offered another post quickly enough. Both Adkin's and Rossler have managed smaller clubs than Coventry City. We may be...

    New manager choice

I've pretty much made up my mind. So I don't see why we can't be told more by CCFC particularly as they said they will keep the fans in the loop? They have not said they are interviewing yet and as far as I'm aware if Sp back room staff are all leaving/left? How long they expect the process to...

    Managers. You pick poll!

OK so makes some choices and lets see who comes out tops..........

    Tony Mowbray

Adkins would be ideal I think. As for Mowbray he was the one sacked because he couldn't buy a win, always draws or narrow defeats which ultimately cost him his job. The negativity of the man and his methods would make us believe SP was a delight! I do believe we need a 'name' and a guy with...

    So who do we want?

We must this time forget the 'unknowns' and get someone with proven ability time and again in the football league. Strong character, someone you just know where ever he goes he will get results and turn it around. Some one who you could almost guarantee that would happen because this club needs...

SISU's safe decision. But we want a strong replacement!

Please don't give credit to SISU in any way for sacking SP. The rot is from the core of the club and that is firmly in ownership. SP never really had much of a chance did he? Lately there were glimmers of a steadying of the ship if not in wins but as many pointed out that seemed too late...

Are we being a little harsh?

This is a good point, one I was hinting at. If we all played our part and gave wonderful support would it make any difference? Is the club so rotten from top to bottom it makes the manager and team an almost impossible stab at any success?

Are we being a little harsh?

Yes we have not won but we were not defeated either. Fine margins that have reasonable excuse. I expect wins to follow but most just don't want to accept that is possible do they?

Are we being a little harsh?

Do you? Or are you one of those saying we are down? Too many on here lambast our club and team at the drop of a hat. It's seems strange to me that everyone to a man said we would be thumped off the park at Sheffield yet we were 2 nil up and playing well before that late collapse or was that a...

Are we being a little harsh?

I was giving the opinion based on the last 5 games not season long and for that alone think there is optimism. You can spin it however you like but they are the facts. I quantified my position by expressly saying it was not in support of SP or the season so far just these recent games against...

Are we being a little harsh?

I don't wish to defend SP record over the whole season so far but the fact remains stats are very deceiving at times and we all tend to forget what has taken place and with sky blue tinted glasses and fresh anger for our owners and SP at the minute do not see what might be a glimmer of...
