Did really well there. Just a shame we haven't taken at least one chance. Sheaf has shown his premier league class. Not sure he can play 90 minutes plus. We will be vulnerable if and when he comes off.
He has lots of good attributes. However, his lack of pace may hold him back at a higher level. He looks like he is on a treadmill when sprinting over a distance.
It would be interesting to see how much ground he covers compared to O'Hare over the last month. I am sure there is not that much in it. And if we are going to win it, we are going to need a bit of magic from somewhere. Without Sakamoto, Palmer is probably the next most capable.
I take your point but I don't mark players performances differently if we are up against a top team compared with an average team so likewise against a poor team.
Have you not heard of triangles - you go back to go forward. His role is to break up play, close down space and play it off so that we can build again. As a team we too often force passes and lose possession.
In a two Tavares is a threat. He has pace and is a finisher. He lacks strength on the ball but he is a great option from the bench if played in the right position. Works well with Godden too.
Palmer's work rate and fitness has been questioned by some in the past. However since he has returned from injury he has been the standout player in this regard.
