First contact in the opposition's penalty area

MVE is nowhere near Premier League standard. Isn’t good enough with the ball.

    Next season

You didn’t think a team 13 points clear of 3rd were going to run away with the league? What a pessimist, eh!

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

We edged the Millwall game for the most part and deserved to win but should have probably been 2-1 if not for Rushworth. Leicester we were genuinely diabolical first half and should have been minimum 2-0 down if not 3. Lampard changed it at half time and we were by far the better team second...

    Next season

Total false equivalence based on nothing but speculation. There is a pretty key contextual difference between the expectations of a team who were in a position ‘no-one has failed to be promoted from in 100 years’ and a team who would be favourites to get relegated from the Premier League.

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

    That was two months ago.

    The magical months

Puts it into perspective when you realise it was only 13 games. From 36 in 13 to 16 in the following 13…

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford United Match Thread - Saturday 7th Feb

Key contextual differences though namely 1. Oxford are much worse than Hull and were absolutely terrible today 2. Post-Hull we didn’t have the giant spectre of the lead we’d thrown away looming over the players which will impact the ability to go on another good run 3. Our best run of form...

    Autos or Play Offs

As opposed to the mindset that drawing 0-0 at home to the 2nd worst team in the team is a good result because we 'played well'?

    Autos or Play Offs

There isn't a doubt in my mind that it's play-offs from here.

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

Leicester comparison is nothing like us. They were still 11 points clear at this point in the season and their PPG never dropped below 2ppg. They just had two strong teams chasing them down, but they'd done most of the hard work already and only needed to win a hanful of their last few games. We...

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

A lot of our fans seem to be approaching this autos fight with the same mentality as a play-offs scrap. ‘Playing well’ or ‘dominating the game’ doesn’t matter at home to 23rd in the table. You simply have to win these games. We aren’t scrapping it out for 6th place anymore, Ipswich have already...

    Unacceptable

We played that XI vs Norwich and we were dreadful

    Transfer Rumour Romain Esse

There were points in the first half today where we were playing with two right wingers and no left winger.

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford United Match Thread - Saturday 7th Feb

In retrospect what we needed to do was to try and sign players with history of playing in promotion winning sides. I think only Eccles, Allen, Woolfenden and Wilson have experience playing in promotion winning sides and it shows. We’re so mentally fragile and don’t seem up for the battle at all.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Would seriously question Opta’s methodology at this point.

    Lampard

‘You’d have taken top in Feb at the start of the season 🤓’ Like telling a bloke he’d have taken driving a Lambo this time last year just after he’s wrapped it round a tree.

    Transfer Rumour Jahnoah Markelo

Briefing the press that we’re going to ‘go big’ in January to end up with this bloke who may as well not even exist was pathetic from King/the club.

    Wright

The fact that some people think he’s good enough for the Prem is one of the most laughable things ever.
