I'd question that too. I know this is a bit "tin foil hat/conspiracy" crazy, but Wasps have ploughed a lot of effort into marketing the West Mids/Birmingham. Quite a few of their "fans" travel from there too. Who's to say he hasn't had the same schmoozing from Eastwood and Vaughan- a villa fan...

I'm sure I saw somewhere that he was a ccfc fan.... could be wrong though! Could we get mark Hornby / Tynan scope to send him a city strip to celebrate him passing his journalist exams and subsequently being tasked with reporting on ccfc??;)

Apparently the deal was "very very good" for Wasps that was "offered" by CCFC. "Offered" struck me as a strange term to use, but suggests, as Boddy said, they did really want a deal. Read my posts about what was said. Wasps were shite to deal with and kept moving goalposts at the last minute and...

Do we actually believe the Council? Biggest liars of the lot. If they aren't the 3rd names party, they will have certainly twisted Wasps arm around a deal.....

Absolutely no way CCC will allow City to build a Stadium in their jurisdiction, They will try their absolute hardest to put any spanner in the works of a potential Stadium in the warwick District Council area too....

Don't think many do need to get their head around it. It is a way of existence for most clubs. Sadly any sale of a player gets greeted by the anti SISU/ bereft of reality group of people as a lack of ambition (the same group of people that believe that staying away will also be good for the club!)
