Coventry City - Why our season has gone wrong

That's a good summation. One area gives rise to my suggestion the other day...Who decides the substitutions or perhaps influences these decisions? Mowbray's ability to alter correctly games I suggest are influenced by none other than Oggy and invariably we get it wrong.

    Gillingham match thread

We were unlucky today. Should have won it at the death and we would all be saying well deserved. I don't think we are much off being good again. We just lack goals and like a striker out of form it will come back. Too late for this season.

    Gillingham match thread

Don't think the pressure is off yet O. We still have a chance of a play off spot because we face 4 of the teams above us on the spin and should the improbable happen and we beat them or say win 3 draw one, we would be right in with a chance. Not one of those teams will win all their remaining...

    Today's press conference.

I think the guy with the leadership and passion is currently out on loan due to a fall out! he'd run all over the pitch with 110% effort and gesticulate at the ref and players. We have lost that passion on the pitch.

Optimism for once, even Otis getting in on the act. Well i'll join the club and say a win 1-2 for City. It feels like one of those games to me.

    Should Oggy be released?

I think some are missing the point and readily leaping to his defense. I don't have any agenda against Oggy but he has been the one constant at the club on the coaching staff. He clearly holds an important role in the coaching set up, not just as goal keeping coach. He is a fairly dominant...

    Should Oggy be released?

Are you 100% sure about that?

    Should Oggy be released?

Now i know he is a legend in these parts but that should not alone secure you a job for life. TM has varying issues around him. Some I believe could be the back room staff. Oggy is such a figure head and is steeped in the past of all managers gone before him. He rises to his feet and goes...

    Our downfall

Murphy by far has been TM's Achilles heel even though he scored a hatrick once and has produced some occasional brilliance. But his overall contribution is clearly not what TM keeps instilling into him. When I was just behind TM at Blackpool recently his frustration was clear to see regarding...

    Our downfall

TM stated the aim was promotion pushing season and with that he clearly stated he needed and wanted midfielders to step up and score themselves some goals. he spotted and knew what was required from the get go. One or two obliged but then that petered out. I expect TM will assess the type of...

Can we make the Premier League?

Hes being pedantic and facetious at the same time. I can always kill him. Just saying I can :)

    Play Offs: Yes or No

Joking aside it looks pretty much over. If you are looking for hope then yes we happen to play 4 of the top teams above us in the next few games. Taking all 3 points from each them would be a significant achievement and put us right in there with a chance of nicking a place. TM would be a hero...

So where do we now expect us to finish this season?

Otis and his perennial 14th place finish! I must admit though on this occasion it sounds about right.

    Colchester (Home) Match Thread

Well that's that. I'm unbelievable disappointed. TM must take some responsibility here. His job is to motivate and while I accept loss of form, injuries etc I find it hard to understand how we can go out and give such an abject performance. There was much to play for tonight and yet we as a...

    If we lose tonight

The rescue I was referring to was not from relegation but the club in general. it was in a bad way with no insight how to move it forward from hedge fund owners and poor management at the top level of the company. he has put the club on a better footing that will stand the test of time in the...

    Fleck leaving

Lets hope he shows that tonight and the next few games and put himself in the shop window.

    If we lose tonight

Good grief no. Calm down dears. You may have egg on your faces if we still scrape a play off berth. He rescued this club from a seemingly dire situation at the end of last season. He has implemented many changes behind the scenes that has been fundamental in our much improved season and set...

    Fleck leaving

Fleck's a good player at this level and has on occasion done very well for us. I hope tonight he has a good game that he is capable of. But the issue with him has always been consistency. TM said he wanted goals from his midfielders this season and Fleck has lacked resolve in this regard. He...

    long way to go

Oh it's absolutely doable. The thing is we now must beat the teams currently above us Gillingham, Millwall and Bradford and a point at Wigan would see us sitting in a play off place I would think. It's in their own hands as they say. Not quite but wins over those and yes that would put a...

    long way to go

Win tomorrow and the next 4 fixtures look very enticing. The problem is though our overall form suggest we can't win those. But it will be pressure time for these teams all scrambling for a play off place. Could be the most exciting few games of the season or it could be all over after a couple!
