Can't rule out a meniscus tbf! Just doesn't fit with reports of his knee being ballooned up a couple of hrs later... Mechanism looks textbook ACL unfortunately but fingers crossed its something lesser!

Yep there you go, really subtle pivot shift on his final step as you say Where did you get the clip??

Does sound really strange... Usually expect what's called a pivot-shift mechanism where weight-bearing leg collapses inwards as it twists, or a forceful firect impact on the shin of a WB leg from the front like that grim one in Wolves vs Leicester U18s the other night

Deep inside so you wouldn't feel it in one particular palpable place until you hamstrings tighten up to protect it but that's days/weeks later

For a full blown joint effusion within a couple of hours of the incident (which is what it sounds like if the OP is correct) then we can rule out pretty much all other diff diagnoses - certainly muscular stuff which I was hoping for prev Needs to be confirmed by the mechanism which I have...

Really good point tbf! Depends if he's injured the same side and where the lesion in his hamstring was I suppose

Main thing to wait on before the op is for the swelling to subside a bit so the surgeon can actually get into the knee. With the tech we have I'd imagine op within a few weeks (assuming ACL) but as stated will be a 12 month+ recovery

    Defo ACL if true

The way Robins describes it is that it happened on landing which could be either tbf... His tone suggests not hamstring though I'd say so those saying ACL could be right If anyone can get a decent clip I'll probably be able to tell you

Hopefully not... Although a recurrent hamstring wouldn't be ideal either... Looked like he kicked out and extended his knee which would mean more likely hamstring rather than a weightbearing twist which would be more ACL, didn't see any decent replays though so could be wrong

Looked more like a hamstring to me, didn't see any ACL-type mechanism unless anyone has a clip? Interested to see what Robins says

Was great for us in L1 and 2 but main attributes were physicality and pace and I can't see him having anywhere near the same levels after an injury like the one he had

Think Eccles is a really good squad player in the midfield but with Bidwell at LWB we really need some penetration and pace at RWB... Eccles is the opposite of that
