    The Goldstone Ground

I think the Bolton game was the coldest I have ever been at a match. I went to Plough Lane to watch Newcastle in the league cup with a couple of mates but we got there 15 minutes after kick off and they wouldn't let us and about 20 other in, so 1 of them broke down the wooden fencing on the side...

    The Goldstone Ground

I went to Ayresome Park for a 2-0 win in 1993 & Burnden Park for a 2-1 win around Christmas 1995, both enjoyable away days. Anyone else savour the delights of the away end at Plough Lane?

    Scariest time at a ground.

In the build up to playing Man Utd in 1977 we had to collect vouchers from a couple of games beforehand to get into the game at Christmas & as my brother is a Man Utd fan and I knew some of the so called Rugby Reds I had seen them at a couple of games and knew they were collecting tickets for...

Non festive songs that you associate with Christmas

I remember being at my grandparents house in Green Lane on Boxing Day in 1971 & this was the Christmas number 1. We always went to their house on Boxing Day as it was my grandma's birthday & we got our presents from them & my auntie. Me and my 2 older brothers were always banished to eat our...

    Festive fixture memories

And was still 100 times better than Sandy Robertson who we bought instead as we haggled over the price and Wolves snapped him up. I know he subsequently suffered with injuries but eventually settled at Southampton, not sure what happened to Robertson & can't remember him playing much for us.

At what age did you all have kids?

    43. Wife has endometriosis so had to go IVF route. I feel for those who want kids and have issues especially when they are constantly asked when they are going to have kids.

Most goals by of City player in first team match

I think you're right. I've just looked at figures and it seems that the South Bank had a capacity of around 31,500 and their biggest ever attendance is just over 61,000.

Most goals by of City player in first team match

There was a walkway between upper & lower terraces and we were in the upper terrace with a line of police on the walkway. There was some trouble but we kept ourselves away from it. It was the same at Villa and we were segregated in the old Whitton end, the scary thing was getting out as I had...

Most goals by of City player in first team match

We were on the old South Bank. I remember the ground seemed massive compared to HR. It was one of my first away games but the very first was a 2-2 draw at Villa the season before.

Most goals by of City player in first team match

We beat Derby 4-2 in another brilliant midweek game in 1978 and again were 2-1 down with about 10 minutes to go and won with late goals from Bobby MacDonald & 2 from Ian Wallace. Tommy Docherty was Derby's manager and was found guilty of perjury in court on the day of the match and I remember...

Most goals by of City player in first team match

I remember Mick Ferguson scoring another couple, 1 in a 3-1 win at Wolves and the other in a 4-2 win against Man City where I think he scored all his goals in the last 9 minutes. Does anyone know who has the most hat-tricks for us, Ferguson can't be far off certainly in Div 1/PL?
