    The future of the club

That’s fine but what “youngsters” have been promoted in recent years Bayliss four years ago then shipped out and McCallum also shipped out we have to see if Eccles makes the grade. What I’m saying is waiting for youngsters can be a long wait, so it’s down to selling top players and fingers...

    Match Thread Peterborough away

Yes, last but one game of that season meant we had to beat Colchester last match to get promotion which we did 1-0 in front of over 36000 fans

Top Ten City goals of all time

Some great goals unfortunately not recorded on tv one that does come up from older fans now and again was a George Hudson classic I think against Southampton on a snow covered pitch when he controlled the ball, flicked it over centre-half Tony Knapp’s (who we later signed) head, turned and...

    Rumour - Stuart Mckinstry

Not as experience as Josh Reid then who can’t get a sniff of our first team and is a a regular in our U/23s who are top of the U/23 division and has played over 20 games in the SPL against the likes as Celtic & Rangers

    Rumour - Stuart Mckinstry

If we stick with five at the back I’m okay with it but we have to up the quality a good bit in midfield i don’t think the answer to that is at the club at the minute unless Eccles surprises us.

Top Ten City goals of all time

After mentioning it on the Tommy Hutchison thread I’ll go with Tommy’s brilliant solo goal at Highbury around 1972 time.

    Rumour - Stuart Mckinstry

I suppose it’s all about squad building and along the way there are casualties, I think Kane is the best defending full back we have who can deliver good and dangerous crosses into the box and I agree with you re. Dabo as an out and out full back is wanting. So where in the team if Kane gets the...

    Rumour - Stuart Mckinstry

I think Todd Kane is okay defensively at right back could he play left ? not sure on Maatsen but he’s off in the summer anyway then there’s Dabo could he do a job on the left ? not sure but without him we lose his much needed attacking pace

That could be okay personally I’d go with a fully fit JCS for balance he’s been carrying an Achilles injury for a while not ideal but with JCS there Dabo as an attacking left back might be okay, we need to try something different.

    Ostigard returns to Brighton

There is a bigger step from U/18s/U/23s to the Premiership but Arsenal have been transformed since Arteta had the confidence to put youngsters in. Was discussing this recently with someone who while not criticising Robins generally mentioned he doesn’t give his young guns a chance and looking at...

    Rumour - Stuart Mckinstry

Has he got plenty of pace something we could do with reckon we are one of the slowest going forward in the division.

    Ostigard returns to Brighton

I have said before I liked Ostigard for me he is a down the middle centre-half but is he better than McFadz possibly our player of the season so far by the sound of it he wouldn’t be happy to be a reserve and although now in his mid thirties can we drop McFadz at the moment as for back up to our...

    Ostigard returns to Brighton

I like Ostigard but I believe there will be better available come summer we are okay with the four CBs we have until then.

    Robins

Bloody hell we had a poor night Tuesday beaten by a team no better than us had we crapped a win we would be sitting somewhere near the top six now I have looked at our results in our league one promotion season and December & January were nothing to shout about 3 draws and a defeat, I think...

    Our Recent Form

We were Tuesday for sure but so we’re Millwall. Robins needs to tweak the system a bit he’s done it before go back to our league one promotion season and our December and January results weren’t brilliant but he changed our system a bit and we never looked back.
