Does it still have that reputation then? Used to be a gangsters paradise back in day (according to Dubs and Corkers anyway!).
By the way, you couldn't do all of us on this side of the water a favour could you - take Terry Wogan back home to Limerick with you! :)
Out of curiosity, why did you choose or happen upon Cov as your team? Always held it against my poor departed father that he should have moved to Manchester of North London when he left Dublin, rather than Coventry. Enjoy the game by the way (well, the weekend at least)
You were doing so well on one of the other thread - and then you post this! :p
I actually think it looks good - but I dress like a train spotter at the best of times anyway
It never happened, so yes - made up. The people of Northampton don't care about Coventry as a place, not just the football club.
Please use something else to hit each other over the head with.
See Noggins post for reasons for move to Sixfields
I think I made this point the other day. There were no free tickets given out to locals in Northampton schools to my knowledge (both my two kids schools, or at any others - I am pretty sure that it would have been brought to my attention, as I don't hide the fact that I am a Cov fan). Our club...
The big game was last Friday, and Scotland deserved to win (pains me to type it) - and I can see similar tonight. Good test for the youngters though -see how good they are in a proper atmosphere.
Carroll is a profesional athelte who has had a long career, and has played at the top of the game.
Johnson is .... er is (in name only), hasn't and hasn't.
I have been to Morocco - two hour flight, couple of hours messing around with trains.
I don't recall my kids schools (in Northampton) being targeted with free tickets by CCFC. The club playing in the town was a no news story. Saints, Cobblers and the COunty Cricket Club visit the schools and offer tickets/packages.
I want my lad to follow Cov. He wants to follow Cov. Problem is...
For me it has to be the move to Northampton. Remember how awful I felt when the first game kicked off (particularly as I live 3 miles down the road which compounded that feeling). Outstrips anything that happens on the pitch. And I like to think that I am someone who has life in perspective...
Although Liverpool mix in different circles to us, that is a useful comparison to make. In addition, he also can't find a formation that suit his players.
I actually think the JPT has become very important to our season - can give the players an focus (although they shouldn't need one) and...
Might just sign up the "Hotel End" Cobblers forum and remind this prick that they always take a shed load to MK themselves at it is their local derby - 800+ at last years JPT game in R1 for example.
Do wonder what purpose he serves in life, but he is a Northamptonian, and they can be a strange...
