Please don’t take off Simms, he’s playing well and it’ll hit his confidence too.

Improvement from last game with more to come I think. Sakamoto again looks lively but I’m not convinced by him at RWB. Simms looks more fired up today and is showing exactly why he can be a handful. A win is always good, but the team looks in need of a confidence boost so let’s hope we hold on.

    Gus - I know he’s gone but …….

Would love him to still be here, he’s a game changer and the second half of last season the impact he had was immense. We absolutely miss that player this year. However, petty as it might sound I still feel bitter re the way he left. I wish him well, I’d take him back, but I think the way he...

    Van Ewick Injury

Is it? It has Ayari and Saka both starting so giving us more attacking impetus that an off form Palmer and sideways CM pairing. Downside is Kelly over Eccles, but with no replacement RWB it is what it is. While still relatively unknown quantities, Saka and Ayari are not bottom 6 club players...

Needs a shake up and if Robins wants to play at a higher tempo then we need more forward thinking players on the pitch. Not sure the clamour to get Kitching in - other than the fact we paid for him. Binks has looked decent and Kitching looked ponderous on Tuesday (accepting it was only a 20...

    Let’s face it.

No offence intended, but this is as bad as the ‘we need an upgrade on Sheaf’ take that was doing the rounds pre injury.

    Ratings vs Cardiff (a)

I actually thought Eccles looked better when Kelly went off and we were losing, he seemed to at least be trying to get on the ball and make things happen. Before that he was anonymous. Saka needs game time but not at RWB, he needs to start at 10. Either alongside Ayari or with Ayari playing CM...

This is an overreaction based on 30 minutes and I don’t entirely mean it, but £4.5mil for Kitching? He is not the comfortable ball playing CB I expected, he looked ponderous.

Saka looked good too, but nit convinced he’s a wing back. I’m not entirely sure what he is, but I’d like to see him involved more.

Not read the last few pages but I’m sure the general consensus is we’ve been absolutely shite. Which is entirely fair; I am really struggling for positives. I don’t even understand our tactics or what we’re trying to do.

We have no luck with injuries. Be good to see Saka though albeit would prefer him not having to be in a position he has to defend. Palmer needs come off now - value add of zero.

Would like to see both Ayari and Saka second half. Don’t care if that’s in a box or Ayari playing CM and Saka 10, but two creative players - whether they are ready or not - are needed at some point (ideally early) in the second half.

Godden is class and we’re winning the league.

Even the Cardiff commentators are referencing our lack of movement up front. I’m far from a glass half empty type, but this is really horrendous. Not sure I can pick out one positive.

Really really don’t want to be on this train; but Wright needs to do a hell of a lot more. As it stands we honestly might as well play with no strikers - it’s consistently coming back. He’ll come good, but he does not look ready to be a main striker for a promotion chasing team, yet.

Have to say the Cardiff commentators are pretty knowledgeable on us. Other than the odd silly mistake it’s pretty impressive for an opposition outfit.

I’m a Palmer fan but I’m also disappointed after his last performance. However he was possibly jet legged - if you’re being kind. Regarldess, I think it’s more about MR not trusting Ayari yet. Simms needs some game time too, I know he’s enemy#1 for some, but he isn’t going to improve and get...

Stream went so missed the goal. It’s back now but what happened for the goal? We’ve been poor second half, so goal deserved but feels like a gut punch still. Still early doors so no need to panic, but some positive momentum would be nice.
