A month to go until we’re playing. The concern is we’ve always taken a few weeks to get to fitness under Robins. Really need as many in Portugal as possible as well, if just so we can put out a couple of sides in training.

Would hope they’re all defenders really. A RWB and a couple of CBs wouldn’t go amiss. At least then we’ve got something to work with.

Im thinking more you carve out a bit for CCFC but things like all weather pitches, equipment and the like that won’t be used day in day out can be shared. I’d imagine the unis have access to machinery that we don’t and wouldn’t be economical to buy.

Any that cost money?

Kirby Corner looks perfect. Lots of space, both unis, Earlsdon Rugby and Godiva Harriers. You’d think something could be sorted that benefits everyone.

Looking at the site you could maybe buy land and squeeze one more pitch on but really you need a new area with plenty of scope.

The fact is though that you’ll end up with a load of mediocre players who don’t want to leave the gravy train and even forced to sell the ones you can. I’d also be banning transfers while you’re at your limit. £250k/week is just about 11 players on £20k/week. Maybe make it £25/30k cut off. Ot...

I worked for someone like that for a bit. Owner of the company. Absolute fuck wit. Constantly ignoring advice then backtracking. Everyone left at the first opportunity.

£3M probably isn’t worth fucking pre season up though.
