Also - is Lati actually that slow or was that intentional?! Cause that was mentally slow running back. I thought he had pace!

People around me already pissing me off - panicking because we’re passing the ball around the back. Sitting amongst dinosaurs it seems.

Don’t think he will be long term tbh. Nothing against Godden - I recognise his strengths - but if Wright/Simms aren’t upgrades and/or MR can’t get them working together? then they’re pointless signings.

Other than Godden, it’s our strongest team. Bench has two game changers, so relatively happy all things considered. Still more to come in - we’ll have a strong squad by the end of August.

    More branding at CBS

    1) Wifi is working and a lot better 2) Branding is a great idea and does feel more CCFC, however one of the big images on the walls from last year is of three loan players not here this year!!

    Hamer

Still feel the way this played out has left a biter taste. Also; 1) Viks goodbye shits on Hamer (which is a surprise) 2) He’s gone now. Let’s all move and please no stupid tribute songs to him today!!

Re the box, it certainly suits us and I’m a fan, but it means leaving one of our two big money signings, and hope game changers, on the bench. The Wright / Simms combination will be dangerous.

Sad thing is, unless we score early it’s guaranteed to happen. Unfortunately I expect Simms to get some stick the first mistake he makes and absolutely bizarrely there’s some absolute tosser near me who like to moan about Sheaf constantly - I imagine he’s the sort who enjoys 4-4-2 and is wowed...

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Saturday 12th Aug

Despite the Hamer news I’m really excited for tomorrow. It has to be Sheaf and Eccles in the middle with MVE RWB, but it won’t be. I know MVE looks a fair way off as it stands, but tomorrow against a weaker Boro team might be the game to give him a go. We need as many creative outlets as we can...

    Hamer

Stand by what I said earlier; he’s been a fantastic player for us and I absolutely wish he was staying so we could build a team around him. +all the deserved platitudes ++all the well wishes However, rightly or wrongly I cannot help feeling slightly bitter about the whole saga and the...

    Hamer

Clearly it’s massively gutting from an on pitch perspective, he’s pivotal to how we play and is a genuine game changer. He’ll absolutely be missed. However, financially that’s a great deal. More money into the pot for MR to continue to build and add to the impressive squad he’s compiled so far...

Match Thread AFC Wimbledon v Coventry

Surprisingly more frustrated than expected. I don’t particularly care about the cup (although a cup run would have been good for various reasons), but that was a strong team out tonight with players who should be wanting to stake a claim. Great we created chances, but we missed them again...

    More branding at CBS

Saw a bit of this today - not particularly innovative (and not even sure what innovative would be in this instance) - but it 100% feels more like a CCFC stadium. Good progress! Pitch looked good too.

    Dhillons lounge at the CBS

I sat in there today (not for a beer unfortunately) - it’s the opposite end to the main entrance (i.e. by the casino) on the left hand side.

Has seeing the lads play made you more or less optimistic about the season

Definitely more so. Mentioned it on the match thread, but we showed signs we’re definitely going to play football more this year. Yet when we went direct we still looked a threat, despite having no Gyokeres. The ability to adjust how we play and hit teams with both styles is a big plus...

Match Thread ⚽️ Leicester City vs Coventry City Match Thread - Sunday 6th Aug

Obviously disappointing to lose, but plenty of positives to take from that. We looked good and our counter attacking style is still promising even without Vik, while we also played football more. If we have the ability to do both this year it’s a big big positive. It is game one with several...

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

Is he actually getting pelters from people on social media? Thank God I’m not on Twitter if so. Absolutely no way he should be written off. He didn’t have the best overall game today, but he showed clear glimpses of what he’ll offer. Him and Wright will be a handful for defences this year, if...

Match Thread ⚽️ Leicester City vs Coventry City Match Thread - Sunday 6th Aug

I was out last night so missed it all - my post yesterday escalated and sparked unexpected debate! Different perspectives are always good, but some absolute dinosaur thinking. And for the record, no need to worry I’m not under the thumb or being controlled. I have decided to prioritise my...
