    We do okay at academy levels I actually seen us beat Chelsea last season at u/15 level and draw with Arsenal at U/16 last Friday but once we get to the pro levels it’s very tough.

    I read that a damaged pitch could be repaired in a couple of days, if we worked through the night 24/7 I reckon it could be done by the weekend, might not be a billiard table but decent. I’m optimistic for Saturday but then again this time last week I was for tonight.

    They have money now a loan from the West Midlands authority, as business issue ccfc could borrow from the same sorce if needs be financing the pitch shouldn’t be an issue now

    Just to let you know I’m in Devon at the moment and for some reason our pitch situation was on their sports news so looks like it’s going national, did say EFL are not blaming us though and sympathetic to us.

    Not so, even if it’s a ruling Labour or Tory council in Cov it is normally Labour the Lord Mayor is the one who is longest serving consecutive councillor regardless of what party they are from.

    There is a Rugby League World Cup match scheduled for October 17th it’s it’s an absolute certainty the pitch will be okay by then, from the Wigan game and then there are 7 home games so it’s a case of how soon the pitch will be safe to use for football, and that will be a EFL decision.
