I think he scored 5 for us, 4 in the league & 1 in league cup on his debut, a couple of decent goals including 1 against Man Utd. The signing seemed to take ages & I think his knees were knackered. A terrible player considering he cost £800k.
@Terry_dactyl I have another 1 who never played a minute for us, Charlie George. Bobby Gould signed him on a short term contract at the end of 83/84 season & afterwards he realised it wouldn't get any better than not playing for us so he retired 😂
I actually thought he came on as a sub but it seems he didn't, he was definitely on the bench for a couple of games.
It also seems that Boothroyd never played a game for Arsenal so I did well with my 2 players 😂😂
Unfortunately not, we should never underestimate the lengths he will go to create divisions, there was also an item on BBC website that Ellen DeGeneres has moved to UK as she is worried that Trump may reverse same sex laws!
We have a problem that some of the players we currently have do not fit the way that FL wants to play. We let too many goals in because we are too easy to counter attack leaving our CBs and Grimes exposed, MVE is quick enough to get back but JDS/Bidwell are either defensively poor or too slow...
It is their original nickname & is because of a pub close to Elland Road called The Old Peacock. I remember the nickname being used at the 1970 cup final
