No club has to bid more than the buy out clause. Once the buy out price is hit then the selling club have a legal obligation to allow the player to leave if the player chooses too. any bidding war will be on the package to the player not the club.

Inflation is still very much present in the UK so we should expect the ST to go up by at least 5%. I dont like the number of non Saturday matches but it’s the price of relative success. I’m ok with that trade off. I may get to a few less matches but I enjoy the season a lot more overall.

It all depends on your view of significant. 5 or 6 players is significant in a playing squad of 18-20. I think we all expect at least that number so no real surprises.
