Nice idea. I am surprised some bright spark hasn't tried to cash in with this idea before.

He shouldn't need to be 'forced' to play. He is a well paid, professional sportsman and should play for his team and his team mates. That he's willing to screw his team and teammates futures for his own benefit is very sad.

Legally he has signed a contract (in exchange for quite a lucrative wage), and should fulfil that contract unless injured...which he is not. He would have be the first to kick off if the club had arbitrarily broken the contract by say, not paying him for the last 10 days of his contract because...

Pay for your own insurance ? Do your bit for your club and teammates...don't let them down. If you've already signed the new contract for your new club, there's no real excuse for not playing.

Anyone who chooses not to play whilst under contract..ie Lyle, should not be a target for our club. It show a distinct lack of loyalty to his club and teammates. By not moving on for the money and getting plenty of games under his belt, he's a much improved player...better maybe than $tevenson and Bay£iss. Some great goals there
