    The lack of consistency

For such a poor performance, does anyone think that Robins should be angrier than he seemed in his post match interview?

Davies also out for the season

    I'm already starting to wobble.

    The lack of consistency

Would certainly help if rivals kept knocking points off each other. Besides Luton, Mansfield concern me the most.

    The lack of consistency

    So you think we are in a superb position to end up top 3. Of course every season is different, but we need to look at the stats. 2006/7 1st place - Lost 7 games all season 2nd place - 10 3rd place - 11 2007/8 1st place - 7 2nd place - 10 3rd place 10 2008/9 1st place - 7 2nd place - 11...

    The lack of consistency

Yep, exactly. We can't just keep expecting to win our home games though. That adds more pressure on us every time we don't pick up any points away.

Didn't we say we must make sure this doesn't happen again after Morecambe?

Davies also out for the season

Be a real boost if it proves to be the case.
  9. Otis

    The lack of consistency

Well that is true, but I deliberately left LOB out because he has hardly played at all in the league for us and Burge IS the man.
  10. Otis

    The lack of consistency

Well yeah, but then maybe our aspirations are different. For me it is top 3. We both know that play-offs and then failure to win through the playoffs is just that, failure. What we are doing at the moment is not good enough, because we are in the top 3 or 4 one game and then on the back of...

Josh Barrett on loan from Reading

We have a habit of bringing players to this club who are not fit.

    The lack of consistency

I know 'on paper' where the City are concerned is a bag of shite and pin the tail on the donkey scenario, but our last 6 games of the season are: Yeovil - Home Notts County - Away Crawley - Away Stevenage - Home Cheltenham - Away Morecambe - Home There is definitely an opportunity there.
  13. Otis

    The lack of consistency

Well yep and lately we have gone from 3rd to 8th and 4th to 9th etc. on the back of one defeat. What's to say that, that won't happen on the very last day of the season?

    Coventry RFC Thread 18/19

Would say that we only need to beat Darlington once to seal it as long as we keep the form going. About right isn't it?

4 sent off for each side and 3 knobbled would be good too.
  16. Otis

    The lack of consistency

And for a side consistently in the top 6 it's ridiculous that we can't even pick up draws against some of the teams at the bottom. We should be beating them of course, but if not, we surely should be able to pick up a point in these games. Even that would be considered 2 points dropped, but...

Davies also out for the season

And what about curse of the best player? Andreu and then Jones.

Davies also out for the season

It's a selective curse though and not just a universal, all players covered one, cos Ryan Haynes is still not injured.

Match Thread Coventry City at Forest Green Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Feb

And on Saturday, at least Exeter play Wycombe and Mansfield face Swindon. They can't all win, so if we can grab 3 points we will be gaining on at least 2 clubs in those fixtures and obviously 3 on Accrington.
