    Gypsies

What annoys me most is the foul mess they leave behind. I don't want to suggest that they're all criminals, I'm sure they're not. If they choose to live outside society and they can make their own way without pissing everyone else off then that's fair enough. However it does seem as though...

city miss out - what a load of rubbish

I've no love for our owners, but I'd still rather we lived within our means. I don't know if we'll make it out of L1 this season, but I sense it's going to be an interesting journey. What I don't want is to gamble the club's future on a sh*t-or-bust one season effort. From what I've seen and...

No no, it's perfectly clear. If this was not the answer, then he wouldn't not like it. Obvious really. ;)

Moving back to Cov - advice please

Mount Nod always looks very nice and tidy when I pass through that way, as I often do having kids that go to school around there. Nod Rise, where there are number of very pleasant looking, low rise flats genuinely has the smoothest tarmac in Coventry - I'm always impressed when I cycle along...

    Wigan (H)

As good a post as I've ever read. I would be one of those who assumed that it was (the wrong sort of) Rugby that was your biggest issue - I stand corrected. Anyone who supports a 'smaller' team from their home town, when there are glory teams right on their doorstep is OK by me. Let's just...

    1st visit

It gets pretty rammed Andy, no guarantee that you and your mate will be able to find seats next to each other. ;) Joking aside, have a good day mate - and enjoy your 92 experience. I think you should do it in fancy dress, personally. A pantomime horse would probably be most appropriate for...

    Less like our home everyday....

Actually, that's not really the way it should work. When selling public assets the council has a statutory duty to obtain the most that it can for them. I think that most people would consider that the best way to do that would be to put them on the open market - or at least offer all...

    Less like our home everyday....

Actually there were a number of different options available to them in London, not least of which was developing a stadium in conjuction with Brentford. That's as close to Wasps original West London location as you'd like, but Wasps owner apparently saw Coventry as a better financial option...

    Ricoh sponsorship

Pipped me to it. Got to be scope for a prank call here... "I've got a load of Wasps I need you to get rid of... My address? Yes, it's the Ricoh Arena, CV... " :)

    Less like our home everyday....

It was never tested because the council at the very point they were saying they wanted to wait and build trust before talking about ownership with CCFC, had secretly done a deal with Wasps. That's not a theory, that's a fact.

    Less like our home everyday....

I'm well aware of that - although it's much the same as people saying they'll never support SISU going to games too. Are you supporting SISU by going to home games, Bazza? Presumably you are - and I am too. I'm aware that some of my money ends up in Wasps' pockets by supporting the club...

    Less like our home everyday....

Seeing all of those logos for a franchise rugby team with no connection to the city, at the home for the football team, makes my skin crawl personally. I don't think the day will ever come when I'll accept it, and I'll never knowingly give any support to Wasps whilst they're here. No one here...

Coventry City XI to Play Leamington

Plant just needs a little time to flower, then he'll bed in just fine. He's more a late bloomer than a hardy perennial. (Sub-editors everywhere are quietly praying that he makes the first team.) :)

    Arena railway station progressing

Not saying you're wrong FP, but it would be madness not to add more trains or carriages for special events. However, you do wonder. They'll certainly need that crowd control if they're trying to get more than 70 people an hour away from the stadium with the current service!

    Adam Armstrong To Join

Looks promising to me - obviously quick and seems to know where the goal is. I'm not convinced he's a number 10 either looking at the brief YouTube clips, definitely seems to prefer running in behind defenders and scoring. I can't see how it will hurt us to have him. Would still like a proven...

This is Wasps, right? That was down to the Council because they sold them the Ricoh - you might remember the deal, it was in the papers and everything. The difference between Wasps and Aston-Martin is that most everyone would accept that AM coming here would be a good thing. There's no issue...

Right. Were the council similarly responsible for Jaguar and Peugeot upping sticks and costing Coventry tens of thousands of jobs then? It's ridiculous to imply either, in truth. The council should be doing everything they reasonably can to keep jobs coming to the city, that's one of the...
